We weren’t allowed ITV, because my mum thought the BBC was posher. The worst part is, we didn’t even pay for the TV license and had a whole ‘duck and cover’ routine to hide from the licensing men when they came round.

Part of the issue is that a lot of people have a problem with cruelty affecting certain species but couldn’t care less about others. That really needs to change. Watching Sunday's #Vera and I say this every year, but why don't @ITV cast locals as extras / supporting cast?! Some of the fake north east accents are terrible and there's plenty of great talent in the region!!
