@Louisam78 @frankie_mclean @AVSTTR @scotgov @hearinglossSCO @Stagetext @NRCPD @Daily_Record The bbc subcontracts their live subtitling to RedBeeMedia all of their long serving stenos redundant 18 months ago. I went a few years earlier as quality was moving down the strategy. Interestingly itv have brought back stenos to cover their day time programming for quality.

@1968Tv I fully agree but there might be an issue on rights. The BBC as well as ITV no longer hold the rights to the Football League and the EFL won't take kindly to unauthorised airing of it's old highlights. They might have to pay extra to screen them.

@PhilipJCooper78 @Nick_Metcalfe Jeff Wayne’s Jubilation was used up to the end of the 85/86 season, during which there was actually no football shown until the 2nd half of the season. That was due to the dispute btw the Football League and the BBC/ITV. I think money was basically the problem!

@ITV I have an idea ITV, all those repetitive (really annoying) adverts that we have to suffer, with each ad break let's have repetitive CPR and basic how to help save lives ads as well as the Vax carpet cleaning ads? If these are played on repeat as much as the Let's Eat ads ..
