@PhilipJCooper78 @Nick_Metcalfe Jeff Wayne’s Jubilation was used up to the end of the 85/86 season, during which there was actually no football shown until the 2nd half of the season. That was due to the dispute btw the Football League and the BBC/ITV. I think money was basically the problem!

Shameful, particularly as @maitlis was simply reiterating what has happened and reflecting the mood of the country. @1968Tv I fully agree but there might be an issue on rights. The BBC as well as ITV no longer hold the rights to the Football League and the EFL won't take kindly to unauthorised airing of it's old highlights. They might have to pay extra to screen them.

I went a few years earlier as quality was moving down the strategy. Interestingly itv have brought back stenos to cover their day time programming for quality.

@ITV when I try to save my postcode in my details in your app, it doesn’t work. This means you can’t detect my location, which in turn means I can’t watch ITV1 live. I can, of course, pay for ITV Hub+ and watch it there. I’m sure this is just an oversight , however… 🤑🤑🤑
