I went a few years earlier as quality was moving down the strategy. Interestingly itv have brought back stenos to cover their day time programming for quality.

@PhilipJCooper78 @Nick_Metcalfe Jeff Wayne’s Jubilation was used up to the end of the 85/86 season, during which there was actually no football shown until the 2nd half of the season. That was due to the dispute btw the Football League and the BBC/ITV. I think money was basically the problem!

@1968Tv I fully agree but there might be an issue on rights. The BBC as well as ITV no longer hold the rights to the Football League and the EFL won't take kindly to unauthorised airing of it's old highlights. They might have to pay extra to screen them.

@emmerdale @ITV @WeAreSTV Wanted .....emmerdale scriptwriters...must have....protractor to work out listening at corners.. no knowledge of legal procedures or police proceedurs required...must be willing to loose as many viewers as possible in a short time....preferably have no grip on reality.💩💩
