@BethRigby Remainers must be feeling very frustrated. Try as they may and even with the help of the BBC..ITV...SKY ... and a host of other media outlets. They aren't doing very well.

  • covtaff58 Keith Wall (@covtaff58) reported from Mablethorpe and Sutton, England

I think it's more a case of the Ant situation. Itv clearly tried to support and help him through his issues. It doesn't seem that itv were forthcoming with support and help for Caroline Flack. I don't believe it is about him. Tragic news.

  • jon_abbott Jon Abbott (@jon_abbott) reported from Alford, England

Meanwhile on ITV, 2 middle-aged blokes will be arguing over a botched job that should have been left to the professionals and which no amount of external help will fix.

  • dave43law dave lawrence 🐟🐟🐠 (@dave43law) reported

@Peston @ITV CCHQ outlawed electronic voting for that very reason during last leadership contest. How that can now not be an issue just a matter of weeks after outlawing it. Either there was no issue last time and they wanted an excuse to prevent people changing their mind or they don't care

  • thestifflertv thestifflertv (@thestifflertv) reported

@Peston @ITV Yeah just think we could end up with Liz Truss or Boris Johnson as pm, imagine how awful that would be.

  • AndrewLaming Andrew Laming (@AndrewLaming) reported

@Peston @ITV How could they make anything worse than Tories manage by themselves? Might even help

  • herannuen Sally (@herannuen) reported

@Peston @ITV And do something terrible like select a Tory?

  • dickonb dickon bevington (@dickonb) reported

@Peston @ITV Arguably, with the unrevealed paymaster for the Pied Piper of @iealondon who led Truss and Kwarteng by their noses into the radical free-marketeering budget madness, this wouldn't be so new a problem as you suggest.
