James Lockwood (@EnfieldTiger) reported@lucyk512 To get the data to your local mast, the mobile networks will use a line to the mast. In the rest of the country there's a choice of providers. In Hull there's KCom. So if it's a core problem with KCom, that probably explains the reason

As Oftel (sic) homed in, KCOM invested heavily in broadband technologies, to fend off BT and compete outside its area.

Goodmeister (@goodmeister) reported@AvonandsomerRob I'm in Hull and we have Kcom which isn't available anywhere else. (We have white phone boxes, not red). I pay for 600mps and it's way faster than anywhere else I've been. They offer up to 900 here as well. New customer offer is Β£35pm here as well.
