@aj_180 @VodafoneUK I'm now on private fibre that is not a BT or Virgin service but rather kcom. My router and connection has been 100% since May. Only reboot was a fw update. And I've not had to call support yet. I gladly pay the premium price for a brilliant service.

@TheBardOfAnlaby Just had a read about it. I know from my time in telecoms Kcom was a bastard to deal with. But I didn't realise they had still shut out all competitors these days. Even Openreach have to be accommodating to competitors within their buildings and network.

@TalkTalk But you can stop the charges to people with fixed contracts, if you need to charge more than new contracts should be higher and new customer’s shouldn’t be getting any discounts for joining. I am totally ashamed of your company now, I might as well go with kcom full fibre now,

  • Elwick70 Bryan Elwick (@Elwick70) reported

@GreatBr48769413 They were never part of the GPO, hence their own cream boxes rather than red. There were a few towns up and down the country who opted to run their own systems. All but Hull ended up joining the national network. Even today, there are no BT lines in Hull. It’s all KCOM
