    @LloydsBank Daughter wanted another £100 on uni student account overdraft to survive. Online, nope, hoped Grantham branch could help when home. No. Told it will affect credit rating if she tried again but "Have you considered a CREDIT CARD?". Disgusted, moving bank accounts ASAP.

    @lespauljunior3 @LloydsBank I’d be wary. They’ve been caught out lying this week and haven’t corrected it. Why have they suddenly been debanked? Presume they’ve been with them a while. They support Hamas and Palestine Action could the bank have noticed a transaction and reported for investigation?

    Great customer support @HalifaxBank @LloydsBank whoever you are now.

    @JamesGilesRBK @TheCanaryUK @LloydsBank Because IF there were to be an issue like that (and I am certainly not saying there is, as we don’t know, nor that it would be the Canary’s fault if there were!), well, those sums would be paid out of the proceeds of crime.

    @SeanLlangynidr @LloydsBank @GOVUK Could be concerns over fraud, money laundering, reputational risk for Lloyds, regulatory issues with the Canary Ltd Company accounts, financial mismanagement, winding up petitions, insolvency proceedings, international bank transfers from countries such as Iran…etc

    @owenjonesjourno @LloydsBank @TheCanaryUK You probably have a case for compensation further down the line! This happened to my old ladies social club. A change of Treasurer sent Santander into melt down. They froze our account for months! Fortunately the old treasurer hadn’t taken any of our cash to the bank for yonks

    @Heccles94 @LloydsBank @TheCanaryUK I saw the same thing earlier and was horrified. Customer of about 20 years here. Absolutely not any more. Horrified

    @owenjonesjourno @LloydsBank @TheCanaryUK Now it’s a problem

  • frangenever
    Sven Greenfacer (@frangenever) reported

    @bananare86 @StarmertheFraud @LloydsBank He was able to get an account elsewhere. His account wasn't frozen and he had other access to funds. All Coutts did was to decide to close his account due to insufficient funds - they could have kept it open but they caused no hardship.

    @LloydsBank Chat service, to actually speak to a human being, 3 HOURS, yet they claim to answer in 30 minutes. Here’s an idea; employ more human beings!
