They have put this down to ‘fraud’ but in fact the definition of fraud is how I am being treated by nationwide. This is control, not protection.

Peter (@Peter_Tix) reported@AskNationwide No and I have spoken to the issuer Manchester City Council who can't cancel and issue a new one because they said you have cashed it with barclays. Called your call centre, call was answered by a branch they can't even speak to the cheque processing team have to use messaging.
