  @Bankersbonus1 @ADavies61517 @afneil During the 2008 financial crisis, the UK government stepped in to rescue major banks including Royal Bank of Scotland, Lloyds Banking Group, Northern Rock and Bradford & Bingley. The state directly spent around £137 billion in capital injections and emergency support, while offering over £1 trillion in guarantees to stop the banking system collapsing. Most of the money was eventually recovered, but taxpayers are still estimated to have lost around £30–35 billion overall, with the biggest losses coming from the RBS/NatWest bailout. Worth remembering the next time someone says the banks “were fine”.

  @NatWest_Help Not again. The NatWest app still can’t scan my HMRC cheque. I complained about this previously and was told it would be fixed. Another cheque, same problem. How is this still not resolved? I’m tired of raising complaints.

  @KatieW456938 Thanks for raising these points. We’ve checked and the revised FAQs were not shared with the Unite NatWest reps in advance of publication but Unite will raise these issues on Monday. A Unite FAQ set was issued this afternoon.

  Hi NatWest,@NatWest_Help My Ebix Cash Forex Card has been retained by an ATM at Tesco, 825 High Road, Leyton, London, E10 7AA. The card got stuck during a transaction and I was unable to retrieve it. Could you please advise me on the next steps and help me recover the card as soon as possible?   @JonBergdahl @alicemodigliani Not surprised after looking around my local NatWest this morning. Staff wearing football shirts! WTF. I let person behind me go first so I at least got the Tottenham shirt cashier. Then I was interrogated why I was withdrawing a few grand in cash.

  @ZackPolanski Never mind me just down voting the community notes that are willfully ignoring the very valid point. It you got arrested for running into NatWest and smashing up their display, charged for it, then got done for robbing the bank later with no jury or due process you'd kick off.
