Sounds less controversial!

jamie shield (@jshield1988) reported from Wallsend, England@leiper_danielle @AskNationwide I'm with NatWest (who don't have payment issues) didn't get payment. Rang DWP and they confirmed payment issue at their end. You may end up with a double payment (it may go in again on Tuesday).

Apple Intelligence (@appleinteligen) reported@Andrewislington @whitebearvt Yeah but on the app it also says you can also use the get cash feature at Tesco atm machines and the NatWest/rbs cash points. My cousin has a NatWest account and we’ve never had an issue as we live in an area with a lot of Tesco cash machines etc.

And then suddenly in the early 00s the gloves were off and it became a free for all. Was this down to any one individual?

I opened a personal account with Starling so I could have a business account with them. Comes with free, simple invoicing/bookkeeping system too.

They kept blocking my contactless payments; and they send me a message asking me to reply "yes" if I try to make the payment or "no" if I didn't. I reply "yes," confirming I try to make the payment, and they send a follow-up message saying I could use my card—yet my card remained blocked. I called NatWest customer service and explained the situation to the representative: I replied "yes" to the message and was told I could use my card again, but I still couldn't use it because it was blocked. The representative was surprised, said they didn't know why this had happened, and reactivated my card. Elon Musk, they kept blocking my contactless payments—and let me put this in a way you'd understand: they didn't do it for security reasons. In fact, I hadn't made a single payment with that card yet; I tried to make a contactless payment somewhere but couldn't because they had blocked it. The shop assistant even told me, "They probably blocked it because you made too many contactless payments today"—even though I hadn't used the card anywhere before that.

Phony Bliar (@phoneybliar) reported@guinevere_86157 19% is high by historical standards, and compares favourably with other Retail Banks e.g. RBS was down at 4% before the financial crisis, and NatWest is currently 14%. The economic impact of 30% should also be considered as this is capital that can't be used to support lending.
