@Simondo65 @wheredoyouside @fesshole Face ID for login? Or other biometric security passes. Banks like NatWest have implemented it perfectly fine for this purpose and more. I don't see why we shouldn't have biometric approval for every login on social medias.

@cgledhill It's already like that. In order to get access to our funds @natwest has asked us for ID for our founder trustees all of whom are now dead. They might not recognise the name of Lord Redcliffe-Maud but surely they must have realised that asking for ID for Harold MacMillan was OTT.

@mikecosgrove NatWest, and most high-streets have signalled this multiple times already. CB's won't want to help banks either eventually, in favour of consolidation to CBDC's. Meanwhile, decentralised networks grow faster the more they inevitably f-up ad infinitum. Tick-tock next block.

Per the FT article, NatWest announced restrictions to “help protect consumers losing life changing sums of money”. Presumably because a life-changing sum of money is SO much safer in a bank than, say, in Bitcoin cold storage. 🤨
