@rich_rdctd Sounds like a pretty good reason to tell Natwest to go **** themselves.

@NatWest_Help NatWest, your customer service is terrible. 40mins on the phone line then got cut off. Donโ€™t you think if your customer will need to card reader to do bank transfer, you should just automatically send them one, not having to climb a ducking mountain just to get one?

As of 1st June I am going back to being solely self employed and will need a new business account as a Sole Trader. Given up with having a physical branch to go to as we literally only have a HSBC and a NatWest left in my town now ๐Ÿ™ƒ Have had both a Monzo and Lloyds LTD Company Business accounts before and have a Monzo personal account I quite like. I keep being told Revolut Business is really good now they have their banking license? Most of my payments will be made via BACs either way, only need access for myself and also needs to be able to link up to Xero. What Bank does everyone suggest to go with or even avoid?

@Lifeofdavie_ Most banks are shutting down due to 90% automation of processes. I have an account with NatWest, the branch in my town has only 2 staff: One teller/customer advisor and Branch Manager/Lead. Machine to deposit coins, cash in, pin resets, cheques scanners, digitised processes!

@NatWest_Help I wish to make a complaint about the service Iโ€™m receiving from NatWest in respect of a Business Bank Account application. Weโ€™ve already received compensation for one complaint but the bank are being obstructionist, awkward and frustrating.

The NatWest Final? The next Sunday Reader of The Hindu actually had an article mocking it "while we were sleeping, did India actually win the WC?" And went on to complain that India conceded 325 so they were a **** team anyway! Celebration? What for? That's an Aussie birthright

Smiley Culture: NatWest On Line (1986). This is one of two adverts reggae star Smiley Culture did for the bank, promoting their On Line bank accounts aimed at teenagers. UK banks leaned heavily into the teenage market in the 1980s, on the assumption that customers rarely changed bank accounts. If you got the customer young they would stay with you for life, so why not give them a cash card and a free sports bag when they were 14?

@WSJ NatWest expecting income at the top end of guidance after 9.5% growth is a strong signal that UK banking is in a surprisingly healthy position. higher interest rates have been painful for borrowers but banks are thriving on the margin between what they pay depositors and what they charge on loans. the structural hedge giving them protection means they keep earning even when rates eventually come down. UK banks havent looked this profitable in years
