@TeresaTinsel @LloydsBank It’s really annoying when things like this happen. I often find it’s a branch problem. I had an issue with Natwest. One branch couldn’t do something for me, yet another could. So infuriating.

@NatWest_Help anyone else having issues getting account closure after a bereavement? keep delaying closure and payment of funds for absolutely no reason that anyone can explain to me. Come on NatWest - no point in having a bereavement service that doesn’t deliver. Distressing.

@Barclaycard I've spoken with NatWest about this, yes. They say there's no problem. For the time being, they've recommended making a direct payment from my current account. How quickly will that show up in my Barclaycard transactions as a payment received?

@coaldragon My bank (NatWest) is clearing checks more quickly these days. I received one (first in years) and banked it on a Friday and it was credited to my account on the Next working day (Monday). #wato

@tottenham_tommy My worry is some banks might risk it. Natwest's are advertising 5% deposit mortgages again to drum up business. They can't help themselves.

@NatWest_Help @JonParryUK @StarlingBank I've also had same problem with natwest app.

@NatWest_Help To quote an old joke....how many people does it take to close a NatWest account? 1 customer,5 Natwest phone call takers,5 Natwest direct msg readers,2 online helps,1 full Natwest branch,6 tweeters,1 complete account closure dept..etc, etc. JUST CLOSE THE ACCOUNT!

@NatWest_Help @decappeal Do not bank with NatWest! Awful customer service! 5 messages and no reply!!

I’m not surprised Help to Buy ISAs ended - nobody I try to speak to about mine knows how they work. Letting agents, mortgage advisor, conveyancer and now NatWest themselves have just thrown me onto other people every time I have a question. Just awful.

@HertsFedChair1 Though not in the job for long, 5 yrs, I can remember my first pay slip at Hendon ('81) & thinking, "not bad, not bad at all." ...then straight down to Brent Cross to buy a Walkman. There was even a small NatWest on campus. These days it sounds like Hendon needs a Food Bank.

@HSBC_UK The profanity wasn’t directed at HSBC but was used to describe the attitude of HSBC towards 1% of their customers who can’t access their accounts for 3 months a year. NatWest, Halifax and Monzo have no problem functioning during the summer so I will bank with them and not you 🫡
