Pulp Librarian (@PulpLibrarian) reportedSmiley Culture: NatWest On Line (1986). This is one of two adverts reggae star Smiley Culture did for the bank, promoting their On Line bank accounts aimed at teenagers. UK banks leaned heavily into the teenage market in the 1980s, on the assumption that customers rarely changed bank accounts. If you got the customer young they would stay with you for life, so why not give them a cash card and a free sports bag when they were 14?

UrbanKoala666 (@JamieCurzon1) reported@NatWestBusiness @NatWest_Help Dear Natwest, I would like to take this opportunity to say that your in-branch service for business customers is diabolical. Some of us cannot afford to wait for an hour to be served cash. Why can't there be a business queue and a personal queue?!

Di Beirne (@ScattyCat) reported@NatWest_Help Hi - been trying to make a payment to HMRC via their app. In app, it directs to NatWest app for payment approval. For last few days, can log in to NatWest app when directed, but page to approve payment is just blank. I've used this way to pay in the past with no 1/2

Gen Kofi🇬🇧 🇬🇭 (@Ko_fi_Ob) reported@Lifeofdavie_ Most banks are shutting down due to 90% automation of processes. I have an account with NatWest, the branch in my town has only 2 staff: One teller/customer advisor and Branch Manager/Lead. Machine to deposit coins, cash in, pin resets, cheques scanners, digitised processes!
