I’ve currently been sat on chat with Tech Support since 09:01 with no resolve and limited responses. I’ve had one response in 45 minutes.

You can't cancel at any time as you're tied in for that term. I think you'd get a bit of grace maybe if you were in the final 30-60 days but what Origin are requesting is the norm.

I'm also not aware of the full circumstances that's led to you having to cancel but if its borne out of your university going remote at the 11th hour then I'd look into your university t's and c's regarding consequential loss etc.
