Stayed with @OriginBroadband in the new house because they’re great for service and you can take your own modem — would have killed for @virginmedia but alas that area is too rural 😭

Still no reply to the complaint I raised on Friday. @OriginBroadband continue to ignore @Ofcom guidelines related to fixed-term contracts. Ts&Cs state "monthly rolling contracts" can increase in price, nothing regarding fixed-term contracts. Disgraceful company and support.

@davidjbodman @OriginBroadban1 @OriginBroadband I've sent a complaint asking them to explain how they're exempt from both their contractual obligations, and regulatory requirements. As their ombudsman definitely IS regulated by ofcom. Looking forward to their answer

@OriginBroadband “keeping it simple” of course it’s so simple you hike up the price and make a bad service even worse. All staff are now in the complaints department.

@OriginBroadband @OriginBroadban1 Material detriment A1.10 Ofcom is likely to treat any price increase4 to the agreed core subscription price (however constructed and described in the contract terms)5 during the fixed term of a telecommunications contract as a modification

@OriginBroadband You recently announced price increases and say "We have invested in our national network and equipment to improve the overall performance of our network." the only problem is YOU DON'T HAVE A NETWORK! you are just a reseller. This is a complete lie

David Bodman
(@davidjbodman) reported
@tobybrxl @OriginBroadband They are allowed by Ofcom if they are written into "Terms of Service". @OriginBroadband have not given themselves provision to do this, so it is breach of contract
