The @Plusnet customer services people help as best they can, trying to find alternatives, but BT WiFi hotspots aren't strong enough in my flat. I've already racked up quite the mobile bill using extra data. I resign myself to having to wait until 23rd March.

So I called @Plusnet & said I think there's been a mistake. Their customer services people are always easy to talk with, & they said yes, so sorry, that's an error, we'll get that removed & it won't come out on the directdebit. Sorted. Cut to the day before the directdebit's due
