@KateJon41196503 @PostOffice Post Office staff see their place of work close, their jobs gone but they can apply for the same job 3 doors down the road in Smiths now on a fraction of the wage they enjoyed before, now no longer Post Office clerks but now Smiths staff, that's privatisation.

I send a parcel through @PostOffice after 10 days they ask me to contact @RoyalMail then they ask me to contact @parcelforce even after paying 150pounds for a parcel. Idky customer service is so bad and charges are so high.

@bluedaysomeday @PostOffice The fact that you can’t see the issue with every single transaction will be monitored and recorded is the issue. Take a moment and consider what a world without cash and coin would look like.

@cliff602 @PostOffice Smith's – twice the price and half the service of just about every other shop.

@PostOffice And the mass use of quick, easy and cheap ATM’s in shops etc? The mass use of contactless making payments easier? Most places use card readers. Real money, is redundant in most settings now due to technology. What’s the issue?

@Paddytastic_123 @PostOffice If vending machines can go contactless, then most businesses can. Unless it’s for “Tax” reasons… Banks were good when you had checks, cash deposits and no online or limited phone customer services. The world is moving on. We still need physical post offices though.

@nigelsutherland @PostOffice Of course cards are convenient for the customer. But why should the banks take something away from small businesses on every purchase?

@duncanr2 @PostOffice Exactly my first thoughts. ‘In an abusive relationship - save money with the post office’ terrible marketing.

@sarahcrowsnest @PostOffice They gain by getting customers who can pay without having to go to the trouble of getting cash, from whichever machine is closest. Instant purchase. Cash is dead. Completely pointless in this day and age.

@PostOffice Nothing to say about the gutting of the Crown network? Nothing to say about the appalling bullying and harassment because of Horizon? Nothing to say about staff and customers being sold down the river by back door privatisation? Thought not.
