Wow @santanderuk first impressions are really not impressive for my 13 year old looking to start his current account banking journey.Rejecting his ID when we've followed the advice of your advisors & the email saying so quoting different ID to that provided. Poor service already

@santanderuk Hi, question (that the website doesn't answer) - what are the id requirements for 13-17 year olds opening accounts? I have two teenagers and am trying to get them set up

  • TheMissingEcon1 The Missing Economist (@TheMissingEcon1) reported

@santanderuk, a customer in one of your branches this morning lingered to harass every woman in there: 'are you an English rose? Are you a mongrel rose?' until my 10 yr old was too frightened to stay in the queue. Why is it ok that women & girls are intimidated?

@ICooper @santanderuk @BankofScotland What. ********. Most of my banking is with Starling these days, and it's great. Especially with international stuff. I'm glad I avoid high street banks for this. I'm not looking forward to signing up for a mortgage with clowns like these.

@santanderuk - we're on the brink of our chain breaking down because of your total incompetence. Finances do NOT feel safe with #santander. "Please hold...". Hour wait. Cut off. Repeat. THANKS! Disgraceful.

@santanderuk 2/2 Now you tell me my security number is not working, another inefficiency problem on your part, now have to be sent a new one. Why are you so grossly inefficient? Your staff all need retraining as do not all apply the same script.

@santanderuk my 15yr old son is trying to open a mini current account online but you keep asking for two forms of ID. He has sent his passport but doesn’t own a driving licence or tax return letter. Please help

Just wondering after 40, 45, 25, and 40 minutes waiting .... has anyone, ever, got through to @santanderuk? With the threat of restricted access to account because they need more info, it seems a bit risible.
