@LizKershawDJ @santanderuk It won’t help you on a Saturday afternoon or Sunday but you should be able to pay it into a Post Office with your debit card, it takes a few days to clear but it’s easier then schlepping to a far away branch.

@har_joel @santanderuk “A Direct Debit mandate gives service providers written permission to take payments from their customers bank accounts. Payments cannot be collected until the mandate has been signed and agreed by the customer” BUT check with your bank directly 👍😎

@cdud11 @MoneySavingExp @santanderuk from experience traditional banks dont bother telling you when rates change, new versions of accounts, new types of accounts come out so news alerts from Google etc help along with regularly checking MSE pages.

@JonBatchelor8 @LizKershawDJ @santanderuk Also most banks allow you to pay a cheque in via the ATM/cash point machine or at home via the app. There is no issue here apart from making a mountain out of a mole hill.

@VladPutin1 @LizKershawDJ @santanderuk But I think that's down to the individual bank policy and not the Post Office. Some banks charge a fee for cash deposits others don't
