@MorganBroadcast Charlotte, I don’t know you but this is absolutely awful and my heart goes out to you. I will be advising my three kids to look at other banks ASAP. I really hope you manage to get this resolved and @santanderuk and @VirginActiveUK start to take some responsibility. Take care x

@drclairetaylor @santanderuk @bancosantander Utterly pants and somewhat bizarre. Even with my basic knowledge of IT security, having access to the PIN like that is totally bonkers.

@helengrantsays @santanderuk I feel sorry for her, but there's a major hole in this story. How did they get her pin code? It had to have been somewhere in her bag or on her phone. She claims it wasn't written down, but if it was in her phone somewhere that's the same thing. Many people put it in there.

@MorganBroadcast Try you and yours, BBC RADIO 4 consumer programme. I'm a @santanderuk customer seriously thinking if it's wise to remain so.

@MorganBroadcast @santanderuk Unfortunately with Mastercards, etc. it’s the guides the bank follow and if a pin has been written down or provided to family/friend’s then it’s 2 counts of negligence on your behalf. The bank won’t raise it because they know they won’t win it’s case.

@helengrantsays @santanderuk They do, but they also have a legitimate argument for negligence because she went in knowing the security was down. It's not right, but we all know that banks don't like paying out money if they can squirm their way out of it.

@MorganBroadcast @santanderuk If they had your phone and managed to access your savings acc to transfer money to the current acc then surely they could use the app to see your cards pin number? Awful that they are blaming you
