@santanderuk All the details entered in the app are the same as my online banking when I set the app up, so if there was a problem someone would have access to my online banking which they dont. Giving you a digital photo id is useless unless you can also view my face.

@santanderuk branch in Oxford. More like a coffee shop than a branch. Directed upstairs to wait and left for ages. This does not add value to the end customer. Wtf have you done? 🤔🙄😔😡

@santanderuk @santanderukhelp so after contacting me you still couldn’t help me either - 8 hours blocked accounts for no reason, no support, no customer services - appalling absolutely appalling service

Using a UK bank, @santanderuk in my case, I have to click 3 times "Yes, I am sure what I am doing, not, I am not being scammed, just make the fking transaction." This is what happens when government overregulates stuff. UX drops to absolute ****.

@santanderuk have the worst customer service I have ever experienced, quick enough to take your money but not one person wants to help you on the phone…shambles

Under FCA’s Consumer Duty @santanderuk UK has a duty to avoid causing foreseeable harm and provide timely support. +4 hours locked out of a fee-paying account over a small euro payment, with zero communication, fails both tests. Formal complaint logged. @financialombuds @WhichUK

I'm being asked to provide ID via driving licence or passport and a face scan to GET INTO MY EXISTING BANK ACCOUNT. And I have three days to do it or my access to my own money could be restricted. Anyone else? Why? @santanderuk

@claudelittner @santanderuk @cahoot Claude: I just got told in an email from Cahoot "Important Information - 25/05/2026 Dear MR ......... You may need to take action Please log on to your Online Banking as soon as possible. You have an important new document to read....." I haven't had contact with Cahoot for ~20 years and the task of exhuming old contact info (or anything else) is going to be vast. And if I do, 99% it will be spam or an offer to sell me something - not news of an error in my favour for £50k. Banks sending out these types of messages create a lot of hassle - and there needs to be a way of getting a fast track summary to determine if it is worth the effort.
