Thank you to everyone for your support. Advice from @VirginMoney was the write to them & include a Certified Copy of an Entry of Death. @santanderuk & @HalifaxBank both have easy to navigate online forms to notifying them of a death of a customer. My advice - don’t try ringing

@Rule_ette_Out @santanderuk Introduced a time delay so gambling transactions will still be blocked for 48 hours after the request to remove the block. The feature before was pointless!

Trying to get hold of anyone @santanderuk is impossible. Card blocked due to suspected fraudulent transactions on my account and nobody picks up the phone. Went to the branch to be told they couldn’t help and I had to call the helpline. Absolutely useless! 😡

@santanderuk Just to advise you that someone is sending out scam emails purporting to be from yourselves and I am not even a customer.

@katebevan The bigger issue seems to be that with @santanderuk you just need a OTP to register a new device. The 'personal ID' required to generate the OTP is the card number - if that's been changed you can find it out using full name, D.O.B and post code all on a driving license.
