AP (@andyparsons3) reportedUnder FCA’s Consumer Duty @santanderuk UK has a duty to avoid causing foreseeable harm and provide timely support. +4 hours locked out of a fee-paying account over a small euro payment, with zero communication, fails both tests. Formal complaint logged. @financialombuds @WhichUK

Try Type (@try_type) reported@santanderuk Put the phone down. 1hr plus wait isn’t acceptable. No problem plenty of other banks.
-
Nigel Burger (@jonathoncloud1) reported@santanderuk message sent, but not holding out much hope as you have managed to ignore all recent emails ever since you offered compensation following your errors.
-
Garry Peat (@RidgewayRam) reported@santanderuk This continued for a further 24 hrs with over 35 new accts being opened. I, therefore, had to call to explain the situation. The call handler was helpful and said he would close the new accts but I was staggered that as a customer facing employee he was not aware of the situation

Martin Hughes (@MartinH01846340) reported@santanderuk @TSB God help the customers. Closing all their branches.
-
Gareth Davies (@expert4money) reportedWhy, when I call @santanderuk do they put me on hold, then repeat every 20 seconds that they appreciate my time, my patience and respect, then take over 35 minutes to answer the phone. Diabolical service!
-
Sean Toms (@seantoms) reported@JohnElsworth @santanderuk It appears they do not want you as a customer
-
Ian Parkins (@parkinsi) reported@ForeverScept @santanderuk @antanddec It's so sad to see the English language massacred daily on Twitter. Slow down and check your work.
-
Lee Hayward (@vibedcoder) reported@santanderuk holding my accounts hostage on the mobile banking app. Until I provide them with a bunch of personal information they have no right asking for. It's finally happening. Just as the conspiracy theorists warned. Santander want to know how much money I make, employment status, photo ID, national insurance number etc. Wonder if they'll cut me off from my money if I keep refusing? They already restricted my access to the mobile app. I've been with them for over 20 years, they can see where my money is coming from and going to, they already have my up to date information... So why all of a sudden do they want me to fill out an online form like I'm some kind of suspect? ****.

George (@bipolar_thfc) reportedDoes this happen with everyone's bank where they want you to submit documents on your address and all this other ****? I try send money to people and it says failed then accepts the 2nd time round but I can't see the money out my account. These banks are ****. @santanderuk
