@Raphaelite_Girl Just been through same with TalkTalk. I proved that it wasn't the router but they refused to call openreach as I refused to pay if they couldn't find a fault...for an intermittent problem. I ended up with ftth from BT for only a marginal increase in price. That told em.

@TalkTalk I don’t know, because I haven’t tried it when I’m on a call. I just say it’s a bad line, end the call & redial. I’m more concerned about it dropping out frequently when I’m using the internet or on my mobile. I live in an old farmhouse in rural Cornwall, which doesn’t help. 1/2

@TalkTalk are the worst. Charging me for an engineer visit when they said I wouldn't be charged. Failing to fix the fault which causes the connection to drop when the phone rings. Overcharging and failing to deliver the service for which we've paid.

@virginmedia by any chance is there anyway I can nominate these jokers @TalkTalk for worse broadband provider of the year must be a link somewhere ? Got any details of the ombudsman so I can lodge a complaint and terminate my contract for a service I pay for but don't receive ?
