@TalkTalk internet down in Lincoln - seems to be a common problem looking at @DowndetectorUK

@TalkTalk I am out of contract and will be moving soon, looking for the best provider in the area, this is unlikely to be you so what number do I need to call to cancel account?

  • fionatogher
Fiona (@fionatogher) reported from Lincoln District, England

@TalkTalk Our Netflix app isn’t working through our television. This has happened before and the person I spoke to previously kindly sent us a new talktalk box. This seemed to remedy the situation - however it’s now not working again

@LiamDanGeorge @TalkTalk Regardless, every provider except virgin uses the Openreach network which means an openreach engineer will need to come out. For some orders they only need to go to the exchange, for others they’ll need to go into your property. Those are the ones openreach are rejecting

And the @talktalk saga continues....yesterday engineer number 3 simply didn’t turn up, we waited in 5 hours. No communication from @TalkTalk at all until once again I chased them. Diabolical service. Never ever switch to @TalkTalk they are the worst.

Fiona (@fionatogher) reported from Lincoln District, England

I cannot stress how atrocious the service from @TalkTalk is...I am currently paying for a service that isn’t being delivered. I would never recommend this provider to anyone. I have wasted hours over the last 2 weeks trying to resolve broadband/netflix problems 😡

  • fionatogher
Fiona (@fionatogher) reported from Lincoln District, England

@TalkTalk Recently i’ve noticed that generally the internet browsing seems to be slower but nothing as significant as the Netflix problem.

  • fionatogher
Fiona (@fionatogher) reported from Lincoln District, England

@TalkTalk The person I spoke to from your technical team essentially said it’s not your problem and couldn’t help me

  • fionatogher
Fiona (@fionatogher) reported from Lincoln District, England

@Carly0112 @TalkTalk @TalkTalkGroup I’ve chased them. Apparently they are looking into this from outside the property. Unfortunately they didn’t communicate this and I’ve had no apology. 20 days into the new contract and no solution. No Netflix, can’t access @TalkTalk films and a connection that repeatedly fails.

  • fionatogher
Fiona (@fionatogher) reported from Lincoln District, England

@TalkTalk Just the TV box, my husband watched a full programme on his mobile phone yesterday with no problem

  • fionatogher
Fiona (@fionatogher) reported from Lincoln District, England

@TalkTalk I’m not calling an 0345 number which has a cost attached to it. I’ll wait to hear from the scheduled call back I have tomorrow morning. If this doesn’t happen it will be a formal complaint. I’ve wasted enough time and energy on this now.

  • SteveKempOP
Steve Kemp (@SteveKempOP) reported from Lincoln District, England

@tomaustin700 @TalkTalk Are you still having problems? We are. @TalkTalk now advising that should be fixed within 24 to 72 hours!

  • danGEROUSbrown
Daniel Brown (@danGEROUSbrown) reported from Lincoln District, England

@TalkTalk Appreciate the help Mike but I've been through all these tests countless times. I will be cancelling my contract.

  • fionatogher
Fiona (@fionatogher) reported from Lincoln District, England

@TalkTalk They came out this morning and were unable to fix the problem. Although I’m paying for a faster fibre service - this was never connected as per the new contract. He said it isn’t possible to connect to faster fibre at the moment but was unable to say when this will be resolved!

@gold123win @7Kiwi UK comms infrastructure is regulated by Ofcom, with BT competing against Sky, Virgin Media, TalkTalk and others for broadband—Royal Mail has rivals like Hermes and DPD too. UK broadband ranks top 25 globally for speed (Ookla 2025 data), not second division. No public evidence links Freemasons to telecom ops or Royal Mail performance. If BT or Royal Mail dropped service causing real losses, submit dated logs to Ofcom—they probe and can award compensation. One specific example of the drop?

@MarkFitDT @TalkTalk Same for me, I called my landline from my mobile and says my number is invalid i am glad i have seen others having the issues so i know its not just me. Hopefully @TalkTalk sort it. They have not replied to my live help.

@entrustTMF @virginmedia Only way to get good service is to use BT/Open Reach as provider; but you will pay! I have had Shell, TalkTalk and now Utility Warehouse as my contract changed hands. All equally poor in their own way. At last house, in the middle of nowhere, had BT, and never had a problem.

@Martin_Law Hi there Martin. Please note that as an active TalkTalk broadband customer you will not be charged for the email services, you will continue to utilize your emails for free. We’ve continued to provide your TalkTalk email service free of charge for some time. -Phili

@acrazyoldworld @TalkTalk Just searched TalkTalk on here. Was a comment every 10s from across the country complaining it was down

@JU51LNS @TalkTalk It was never YOUR email, it belonged to TalkTalk and they simply rented it to you as a perk of being subscribed to their service. You've cancelled or are cancelling so they're no longer giving you a free email and instead asking you to pay. BT does/did the same. As did/does Sky. Virginmedia just straight delete the email address after 90 days. You're making a deal out of nothing. Pay the fiver a month and use the time to port out valuable emails by forwarding them to your other email then when you're confident you've got it all transferred, cancel the payment.

@TalkTalk why have I received an email telling me I need to start paying for my email account because I’m no longer a customer? I am a Talktalk customer and my email address is linked to my Broadband account

  • UrmstonMeadows
    Urmston Meadows (@UrmstonMeadows) reported

I can confirm that @TalkTalk is the worst provider in the history of the world. Once I get out of this contract, I'm never using them again.

@TalkTalk just got my bill and it says my package has a landline service which I never used to pay for but now I am? So that's an extra £20 I'm paying for
