Virgin Media Issues Reports Near Carlisle, England

Latest outage, problems and issue reports in Carlisle and nearby locations:

  • danmas0n Dan Mason (@danmas0n) reported from Carlisle, England

@virginmedia Thanks for this. Looks like there’s a coverage problem in our area so registered loss of service. Looks like we should be sorted later today.

  • realsqueegie Jason Munn (@realsqueegie) reported from Carlisle, England

@virginmedia Shocking service. My mother has had no landline for several weeks now. An engineer installed an adaptor to connect to the router, it has failed. The only way for her to contact your customer services is an 0345 number on her mobile. This is not good enough. #NotGood

  • Marduhk Neil B (@Marduhk) reported from Carlisle, England

@virginmedia I understand it’s down speeds which look great on advertising but up speeds are just as important and 6MB/s up on a 100MB/s connection isn’t good enough. That’s just the way your network has been setup and there isn’t anything which can immediately be done about it.

  • Marduhk Neil B (@Marduhk) reported from Carlisle, England

@Monza972 @virginmedia This is usually what happens when you fill a support centre with sales agents. You just need to stick that Hub into modem mode and use a separate router - you won’t ever look back.

  • CooperDowell ᴄᴏᴏᴘᴇʀ 🚀 (@CooperDowell) reported from Carlisle, England

What an absolute waste of time @bt_uk are. I called to try & reduce my monthly bill & the man on the phone said he could help save me money by offering me a mobile ******* sim card for less than my current mobile bill... Virgin Media here I come.

  • 22craftsman The Whisky Reiver.. (@22craftsman) reported from Carlisle, England

@virginmedia Not been with you for years due to the very poor levels of service.

  • FionaFimullen40 FIONA MULLEN ( HOWE) (@FionaFimullen40) reported from Carlisle, England

What a shame been in touch with virgin my mobile to ask if they wanted to help me contribute to my bill as volunteering . Still not got back to me I'll pay the bill and had family offering bless them big company like that. Well @virginmedia 🤣

  • danmatthews Daniel Matthews ⚡️ (@danmatthews) reported from Carlisle, England

@seb_ly @virginmedia Another company that doesn’t understand the difference between service and sales.

  • realsqueegie Jason Munn (@realsqueegie) reported from Carlisle, England

@virginmedia You really are missing the point. This is the second time that there is a problem with the landline. A lengthy and £charged phone call to @virginmedia solved this (taking) over a number of days only for it to happen again. This is @virginmedia’s problem. Take ownership.

  • Marduhk Neil B (@Marduhk) reported from Carlisle, England

Virgin Media has been up and down tonight more often than a ****** knickers.

  • Integrity_Steve Stephen Whelan (@Integrity_Steve) reported from Carlisle, England

@virginmedia So you clearly know it takes 10 days then why send out bullying automated emails only 14 days after I received the package to send it back in. The reason I’m no longer with @virginmedia is the hopeless customer service

  • realsqueegie Jason Munn (@realsqueegie) reported from Carlisle, England

@virginmedia Thank you for replying. But the point is being missed. To get customer service from @virginmedia is a costly phone call. The last one cost over £5 and the problem was only briefly resolved. Paying customers should not be charged for problems that are caused by the supplier.

  • ebbGreg Greg Corbett (@ebbGreg) reported from Carlisle, England

@virginmedia Always love seeing the responses to your promoted tweets, they never seem to go down well. Even trying to distract people with Charlotte big jugs didn't work!

  • TheWilldern Neil B (@TheWilldern) reported from Carlisle, England

@virginmedia Do you know if your current upgrade prices are inclusive of the annual price increase from March 1st and if I upgrade with a mobile plan am I getting access to @O2 or your piggyback’d Virgin Media mobile network? the reason why I ask is that I need eSIM support.

  • Marduhk Neil B (@Marduhk) reported from Carlisle, England

@virginmedia I’ve been trying to call customer services (0345 454 1111) for the past couple of but can never get through - the line just goes dead, tried from two mobiles and work landline. Is there any other way to contact them? I need the account cancellation team.

Virgin Media Issues Reports

  • joejoinerr Joe Joiner (@joejoinerr) reported

    > call @virginmedia to cancel account > rententions dept answer > np > put me on hold, 45 mins wait > cancellations dept answer, immediately hang up > wtf > call back, explain I got cut off > dude tries to find out why > says they don't work weekends?? what's going on VM? 😩😩

  • mikehhhhhhh Mike Hughes (@mikehhhhhhh) reported

@virginmedia Had the woman in cancellations not been so nice and friendly, I'd have still cancelled and I'm still tempted to. Is this normal to still have to pay half despite receiving almost no service? Can I get more help with that issue?

  • TimGough8 Tim Gough (@TimGough8) reported

@virginmedia I’ve done that too. Over an hour wait to speak to someone, an automate test that confirms I have a problem and a text link that tells me to run the steps you’ve taken me through. I’m going round in circles here.

  • mikehhhhhhh Mike Hughes (@mikehhhhhhh) reported

@virginmedia They advised me nothing more can be done. Some persistence with another call got me an engineer visit. He says he thinks its a network issue but can't raise it until they replace my cable - which will take 3 weeks. ...

  • dakajokel Kate Kellett (@dakajokel) reported

@virginmedia I have spoken to four different people in customer services now. It’s not good enough

  • liamsimo95 liam (@liamsimo95) reported

@virginmedia You need to sign in and it’s not my account that would be registered with the connection it’s my parents

  • KevFComicArtist Kev F Comic Artist (@KevFComicArtist) reported

@virginmedia Nope none. I spent an hour on the phone Friday with your customer services, who were very helpful and knocked £8 off my bill, and tested our connections. The dropouts continued. There have been none today (yet).

  • Rahim3342 Rahim (@Rahim3342) reported

@virginmedia Slowness and dont tell me to restart my wifi cause i've tried that 100x and it never fully foxes the issue. I need someone to come round my house

  • iindraat Indra (@iindraat) reported

@virginmedia I wanted to change the landline number assigned to me when I joined as a new customer a week ago. I also got charged £35 setup fee (?) when I didn’t even need an engineer & was able to self install under 5 mins myself

  • motocity5 Kirsten McLen (@motocity5) reported

@virginmedia Yes I do. Clearly the letter doesn’t respond to my complaint and leaves me only the option to call. Which I’ve been doing for months and get nowhere
