Greg Corbett (@ebbGreg) reported from Carlisle, England
@virginmedia Always love seeing the responses to your promoted tweets, they never seem to go down well. Even trying to distract people with Charlotte big jugs didn't work!
-
Stephen Whelan (@Integrity_Steve) reported from Carlisle, England
@virginmedia So you clearly know it takes 10 days then why send out bullying automated emails only 14 days after I received the package to send it back in. The reason I’m no longer with @virginmedia is the hopeless customer service

Daniel Matthews ⚡️ (@danmatthews) reported from Carlisle, England
@seb_ly @virginmedia Another company that doesn’t understand the difference between service and sales.
-
Neil B (@Marduhk) reported from Carlisle, England
@virginmedia I understand it’s down speeds which look great on advertising but up speeds are just as important and 6MB/s up on a 100MB/s connection isn’t good enough. That’s just the way your network has been setup and there isn’t anything which can immediately be done about it.

Neil B (@Marduhk) reported from Carlisle, England
@virginmedia I’ve been trying to call customer services (0345 454 1111) for the past couple of but can never get through - the line just goes dead, tried from two mobiles and work landline. Is there any other way to contact them? I need the account cancellation team.

FIONA MULLEN ( HOWE) (@FionaFimullen40) reported from Carlisle, England
What a shame been in touch with virgin my mobile to ask if they wanted to help me contribute to my bill as volunteering . Still not got back to me I'll pay the bill and had family offering bless them big company like that. Well @virginmedia 🤣

Jason Munn (@realsqueegie) reported from Carlisle, England
@virginmedia You really are missing the point. This is the second time that there is a problem with the landline. A lengthy and £charged phone call to @virginmedia solved this (taking) over a number of days only for it to happen again. This is @virginmedia’s problem. Take ownership.

Dan Mason (@danmas0n) reported from Carlisle, England
@virginmedia Thanks for this. Looks like there’s a coverage problem in our area so registered loss of service. Looks like we should be sorted later today.

What an absolute waste of time @bt_uk are. I called to try & reduce my monthly bill & the man on the phone said he could help save me money by offering me a mobile ******* sim card for less than my current mobile bill... Virgin Media here I come.

Jason Munn (@realsqueegie) reported from Carlisle, England
@virginmedia Shocking service. My mother has had no landline for several weeks now. An engineer installed an adaptor to connect to the router, it has failed. The only way for her to contact your customer services is an 0345 number on her mobile. This is not good enough. #NotGood

Jason Munn (@realsqueegie) reported from Carlisle, England
@virginmedia Thank you for replying. But the point is being missed. To get customer service from @virginmedia is a costly phone call. The last one cost over £5 and the problem was only briefly resolved. Paying customers should not be charged for problems that are caused by the supplier.

Virgin Media has been up and down tonight more often than a ****** knickers.

@virginmedia Mine still isn’t working. Been off since around 2am and not working now. Funny how this happens day 2 of the Easter holidays so every child is going to be pestering poor parents about the Xbox or PS not working! So 7 hours of no services and still counting for me and others

No broadband again this morning @virginmedia Day 4 of connectivity issues. What have you done?

@virginmedia Im ringing today to cancel my tv. You put your prices up therefore I leave. I'm not being fobbed off this time by you saying I can't cancel because I'm still in contract! I can cancel and am doing.
-
Rocky Gibbs (@RockysGameSpace) reported
@virginmedia You don’t fix anything though? Leaving you will be the best decision I have made.
-
princess knickers (@princess_knicks) reported
@virginmedia I think all us replying would like you (after restoring service) to define what exactly the extra 3+% over inflation will be used for? Cos it doesn’t seem to be for maintaining service or for comms in the event of an outage.
-
Professor78 (@Professor782) reported
@virginmedia How do we register the outage to ensure we get refunded for the period, when the site/app to do this is also down!
-
Tom Roberts (@TomRoberts456) reported
@virginmedia @BBCBreaking I'm surprised you're not reporting on @virginmedia being down for 8+ hours, most of the country is affected, must be 100,000s of customers! I've also learnt not to write Virgin status checker into Google! Not what I was expecting! #shock #virgingate
-
rupester (@rupester) reported
@virginmedia Surely if a national outage occurs 1. you'd know and 2. you'd put something out within 10 mins to acknowledge? Communicating this circa seven hours after an event affecting presumably tens of thousands of people in UK .... hmmm, not great? #VirginMediaoutage

Darren Hughes (@scoobyfizz) reported
@kanengonij @virginmedia never.. they don't care.

@Stephen_Neal @virginmedia Definitely a routing issue — Virgin's DNS is working but I can’t ping or access OpenDNS's dns servers. But can access the BBC
