@VodafoneUK @GeorgeMonbiot You did the same thing with my mother in law who had memory issues. First sold her a totally unsuitable contract then then refused to cancel it.

@GeorgeMonbiot @VodafoneUK Terrible company. Rolled over a contract I had without authorisation, later claiming I verbally agreed via phone. A lie. I got money back via bank only for them to send threatening letters. Appealed to ombudsman and lost. Despite them having zero evidence of contract agreement.

@GeorgeMonbiot @VodafoneUK Tried to cancel my partners account 9 years ago. In the end the debt collection agency Vodafone sent after us due to their own error was working with us alongside the ombudsman to fight them. Took a year but worth it. Vodafone will never change, avoid like the plague

@GeorgeMonbiot @VodafoneUK This happened to me with @ATT after my first wife died. I got the runaround for months when trying to cancel her line. Finally was able to talk to someone on the inside (my brother’s future ex wife, in fact) & got it resolved. Have avoided anything AT&T-related since.

@therealkarene @GeorgeMonbiot @VodafoneUK We've had similar issues trying to cancel my mother's TV licence after her death. Threats of bailiffs etc.

@VodafoneUK @GeorgeMonbiot You should respond with an actual HUMAN, preferably in a management position, offering a sincere apology and I hope this customer files a lawsuit against you. What an absolutely terrible business model.

@VodafoneUK @RD03157723 They won’t listen i you and deny you did sit down the account and say you haven’t paid. Hopefully they get their just deserts for this treatment if so many.

@GeorgeMonbiot @VodafoneUK Unfortunately it's not just Vodafone its lots of companies. I had this problem with NS&I & BT. In the end I emailed the CEO of BT and complained. It was eventually sorted out but my 91yo dad would have stood no chance.

@GeorgeMonbiot @VodafoneUK A bot is an automated system that directs you through a decision tree. It is only as rude as the programmer, unlike Vodafone staff who can be as rude as their day is bad.
