Sandyann1964 (@sandyann1964) reported@JaneyGodley @VodafoneUK Used to work for them 2001-then they decided only those spending over £40/month deserved decent customer service and our call centre was closed down. We were trained in how to deal with this. I guess they don’t bother any more.
-
Janey (@FannyIngabout) reported from Newport, Wales@maccaspacca1 @GeorgeMonbiot @VodafoneUK That doesn’t absolve them from recognising the awful situation the bereaved person is in. That’s just common decency.
-
Johnny Pict (@johnnypict) reported@GeorgeMonbiot @VodafoneUK I went through a similar issue with Vodafone when trying to cancel my own account. I canceled and then they said I hadn't contacted them and tried to get another month's money out of me. The customer service was atrocious. I'll never use them again. Ever.

quillon fox (@quillon1) reported@GeorgeMonbiot @VodafoneUK Wow. When my Aunt died everyone was excellent in their help. HSBC in particular were brilliant. It sounds like some kind of purgatory in dealing with Vodafone. Lucky no one I know uses them.
-
DebbieMullins (@DebbieMullins18) reported@GeorgeMonbiot @KathyBurke @VodafoneUK The Ombudsman may help you - they are helping me trying to get myMums credit balance back of £1000 as she is in a nursing home now - Eon just as useless !!
-
700 Drinks Bro (@davidaak1991) reported@jean4760110889 @GeorgeMonbiot @VodafoneUK Gosh that’s bad, at BT we’d cancel the contract effective the day you notified us and only being billed up until that day. No cancellation, no notice period. Honestly thought that was a universal thing tbh.
-
Duncan Lundie 🏴 (@DuncanMhor) reported@GeorgeMonbiot @VodafoneUK That's what happened to me, after the third attempt and having had confirmation that the account was closed, I cancelled the direct debit. Ended up with a note on my credit history. Will never do business with them again.
-
Veggie Lou 💙💛 (@LMEVegetarian) reported@GeorgeMonbiot @VodafoneUK Same here except the husband remaining, who had dementia,a pay as you go sim,& for who I had POA, was additionally sold a contract over the phone. Was incredibly difficult to resolve even though I was POA - they wanted to question him. We ended up with 2 contracts to try & cancel
-
Dianne 💙💛 (@Dianne1963) reported@timbhoy1 @GeorgeMonbiot @VodafoneUK If the account is in the name of your late relative, isn't it down to them, and in their best interests, to close the account,no one to collect from, surely? When dealing with my late Dad's funds I did send original death certificates and they all sent it back; 10 to remind me.😢

Vaguest Nerve (@JerryStillman) reported@GeorgeMonbiot @VodafoneUK Genuinely thought I was going to have to defend my house ****** from bailiffs and police. Thankfully they finally managed to cancel it at the last moment.
