@VodafoneUK can you help? My parents are in their 70s and had set up a monthly Debit Card payment on PAYG. They wish to cancel it but don't know how. Is there a number they can call to cancel?

  • CitizenSciArt Jay Hampton (@CitizenSciArt) reported

@GeorgeMonbiot @VodafoneUK @ScottishPower have been just as bad. Been trying to cancel an account for nearly a year, calls and online chat. Just been sent a bill with a year's worth bills in the same envelope for an executor account we didn't know existed.

  • Xanthip28429540 Veruca La Chausette (@Xanthip28429540) reported

@GeorgeMonbiot I had a contract with @VodafoneUK once, a few years ago. Their customer service was so appalling, so stressful and unhelpful that I cancelled the whole thing, and now I would not touch them with a bargepole

  • OwenDirkshift Not too keen on the Nazis... (@OwenDirkshift) reported

@GeorgeMonbiot @iancooke25 @VodafoneUK Try "Resolver" online. I used them to settle a bathroom issue with B&Q, and it was very useful. Even got me a massive refund.

  • wardner_ wardner (@wardner_) reported

@TrudieMaxim @GeorgeMonbiot @VodafoneUK I did exactly the same thing with BT about a decade ago (although via email rather than phone) and you wouldn't believe how quickly my issue was resolved once his assistant got involved. Up until that point I couldn't get a sensible response from anyone.

  • Gorght Jim Talbot (@Gorght) reported

@VodafoneUK No service in central Colchester since the weekend. The network service status says maintenance ongoing until 5th October!? Are we really to be without service for 3 months??

  • lejog52 Ian James Harris (@lejog52) reported

@GeorgeMonbiot @VodafoneUK I found them a terrible company to deal with. No customer service whatsoever. I had been with them for 13 plus years but never again.

  • maccaspacca1 Ian McEvoy (@maccaspacca1) reported

@GeorgeMonbiot @VodafoneUK Please don't blame the customer service staff. They are often on minimum wage and pressured to meet unrealistic targets with little training. They are supposed to escalate to managers but many are not even told how to do that as they are thrown in the deep end when starting work.

  • heather_c_c Heather #FundOurNHS 💙 (@heather_c_c) reported

@GeorgeMonbiot @VodafoneUK Make sure they apologize and compensate for the distress caused. Maybe your local Age Concern could help?

  • Biglarry2k11 Laurence Morgan 💙🇺🇦 (@Biglarry2k11) reported

@GeorgeMonbiot @VodafoneUK They want to move it to Direct Mail to mask the bad publicity.. shifts the conversation off Twitter .. they all have this tactic.

  • StigStag1 Gallags01🇺🇦 (@StigStag1) reported

@GeorgeMonbiot @VodafoneUK They make so many billions (and pay so little tax) that they have zero interest in Customer Service Tbf They really are the worst of a bad bunch Have you contacted @Ofcom Maybe worth a try Good Luck
