It makes me sad to hear @VodafoneUK adverts encouraging people to replace their iPhones every 12 months with a new one. Disgusting waste, #consumerism & planned-obsolesce. This isn’t going to help the #Environment or the world we leave behind for future generations!

@GeorgeMonbiot @VodafoneUK I found them a terrible company to deal with. No customer service whatsoever. I had been with them for 13 plus years but never again.

@GeorgeMonbiot @VodafoneUK they gave us a dongle while we had a bband issue, was shocked to get a ~£400 bill. They claimed the dongle was only for 50Gb and I knew this. when challenged they reviewed the tape and gave me back the money despite saying they couldn't find the recording

@GeorgeMonbiot @IainHiggins @VodafoneUK My step dad passed 5 weeks ago, Vodafone was the only thing mum had a serious problem with, even death it seems is not a good enough reason to cancel your payment

@GeorgeMonbiot @VodafoneUK This sounds like the exact same reason why my other half will never ever go to Vodafone after the hassle she had sorting out her late dads account.. would never touch that company ever

@GeorgeMonbiot @BillyVacant @VodafoneUK From experience, some companies are compassionate & genuinely do all they can to help after a bereavement. Others, are utterly useless to the point of obstruction. Companies that make things more stressful at such a difficult time do not deserve our custom.

@GeorgeMonbiot @VodafoneUK Total sympathy. Only way we could get to speak with someone @BritishGas was to say we we were bereaved after awful customer bot-going-round-in-circles online only service. Same with #Evri / #Hermes. Only way was to contact CEO and threaten BBC You&Yours.

@GeorgeMonbiot @KathyBurke @VodafoneUK I’m sorry to hear that. I’ve been trying to get my Dad’s Facebook account deleted since he died over 2 years ago and their online form keeps failing. No customer service contact there so I’m just screaming into the void.

@BenjaminBallA @GeorgeMonbiot @VodafoneUK This is well worth doing. I once had an issue with BT that no-one was interested in resolving so I googled CEO and emailed him I had a reply from his PA in minutes and was allocated someone to sort it out who gave me his phone no and was v helpful.

@GeorgeMonbiot @VodafoneUK @VodafoneUK did exactly the same with me when I switched broadband provider. I wonder just how much money they make from people who don't keep an eye on their direct debits? I'll never go back to them.

@GeorgeMonbiot @VodafoneUK @ScottishPower have been just as bad. Been trying to cancel an account for nearly a year, calls and online chat. Just been sent a bill with a year's worth bills in the same envelope for an executor account we didn't know existed.
