It makes me sad to hear @VodafoneUK adverts encouraging people to replace their iPhones every 12 months with a new one. Disgusting waste, #consumerism & planned-obsolesce. This isn’t going to help the #Environment or the world we leave behind for future generations!

@GeorgeMonbiot @VodafoneUK Despite having depts that deal with bereaved relatives most of the utilities are terrible. Scottish power and British Gas have been particularly bad. United utilities have been great all the times weve had to contact them.

@GeorgeMonbiot @VodafoneUK Sorry to hear of ur difficulties, but Im not surprised. My partner had severe problems with them about 10 years ago, which lasted weeks of being passed from department to department, never getting the promised calls returned. We have never used them since. Worst customer service.

@VodafoneUK @speckyninja "👋 Hey." ?!?! Seriously?? Patronising AF. Should be used to train customer service peeps on how NOT to do it! YUK

@GeorgeMonbiot @VodafoneUK Customer service died (the final push) as soon as they were able to hide behind the "due to corona" automated messaging How can a business expect people who aren't enthusiastic about working in a call centre will even bother when allowed to sit unsupervised at home

@GeorgeMonbiot @VodafoneUK I used to work for a well known mobile phone retailer. Vodafone were always terrible. We used to try and persuade customers to go onto literally any other network because they were beyond awful. I feel for you.

@GeorgeMonbiot @VodafoneUK This is happening across the board. Had a similar exp with @BritishGas who set out a debt management firm for a estimated (made up) bill of £122 backdating from 4 years ago which they didn't inform me of. No matter how much calling/letters sent, they've refused to ack or fix it.

@GeorgeMonbiot @IAmMardikins Thanks for this George. I'm with @VodafoneUK now, but will cancel as soon as I can. Dreadful behaviour. I'm sure other providers are as bad (in the same or other ways) but let's keep them jumping

@GeorgeMonbiot @VodafoneUK I had a similar problem trying to end my Father’s contract when he passed. I was repeated told that only the account holder could cancel the account despite me saying repeatedly that he had died.

@GeorgeMonbiot @VodafoneUK I had an awful time with Vodafone. Moved to @tescomobile & never looked back. Any issues, you can always just go into the store to resolve. Sorry to hear your experience, but I am not one bit surprised.

@GeorgeMonbiot @billybragg @VodafoneUK Absolutely ridiculous. Left them after a bad experience trying to change my contract years back. Awful company.
