It makes me sad to hear @VodafoneUK adverts encouraging people to replace their iPhones every 12 months with a new one. Disgusting waste, #consumerism & planned-obsolesce. This isn’t going to help the #Environment or the world we leave behind for future generations!

@maccaspacca1 @GeorgeMonbiot @VodafoneUK Customer Service operatives should be properly trained and it reflects badly on O2 when they are not.

    AnthonyJLewis (@AnthonyJLewis) reported

@queenofswords6 @VodafoneUK The same thing happened to a friend of mine a few years ago. His son died of a brain tumour and the phone company kept sending bills and my friends mum rang them and they told her his name would be put on a blacklist for bad credit.

    Gunny (@thatgnat) reported

@GeorgeMonbiot @VodafoneUK Stopped dealing with @VodafoneUK over 20 years ago and would NEVER EVER deal with them again. Thet were bas then and look worse now.

@VodafoneUK That doesn’t help customers does it? Only 4G in a few stations on the jubilee line.

@VodafoneUK @GeorgeMonbiot After all of George’s comments @VodafoneUK you clearly still don’t get it. This haughty attitude is a disgrace. I have been with Vodafone for a number of years but will leave if you don’t sort this out and I mean YOU not George or any other customer.

  • PatBrandwood
Pat Brandwood (@PatBrandwood) reported from Poole, England

@maccaspacca1 @GeorgeMonbiot @VodafoneUK Isn't the problem that these companies pay very low wages to staff who know nothing except how to answer a phone, often not in their first language? Try asking a train line call service about a town in England.

  • JLameer
    Jay Lam (@JLameer) reported

@GeorgeMonbiot @VodafoneUK Vodafone UK is terrible. They charged me for a new line I never asked for and they never sorted it out properly. Never got all my money back, wouldn’t touch them with a barge pole.

  • babyminkdeville
    Sarah-Lou (@babyminkdeville) reported

@maccaspacca1 @GeorgeMonbiot @VodafoneUK I work in a customer facing job over the phone. We get extensive training and audited on how we handle vulnerable customers and delicate situations. The idea of behaving like Voda staff have in this makes me feel sick. It's not the process. Some people are just *** holes.

  • Tezcatlipoca66
    Nirmal Singh Benning (@Tezcatlipoca66) reported

@GeorgeMonbiot @VodafoneUK Cancel the direct debit, explaining it to your bank, job done.

  • PaulMayerstaken
    Paul Mayer (@PaulMayerstaken) reported

@GeorgeMonbiot @VodafoneUK I find the biggest problem now is once you finally get to talk to someone about your problem they either don't have the power to resolve the issue or promise they'll sort it and don't. This problem seems to be widespread and growing.
