@GeorgeMonbiot @VodafoneUK The ignoring of a legal Power of Attorney is surely something that @OFCOM should be all over - poor poor Governance

@GeorgeMonbiot @VodafoneUK I was asked if there was another family member that I could pass my son's sim contract on to, rather than cancel it... that was Virgin

@GeorgeMonbiot @VodafoneUK They are probably THE worst company I've ever had the misfortune of dealing with. Never again would I go with Vodafone, even if they offered tariffs half the price of other providers.

@GeorgeMonbiot @VodafoneUK Hi George. Just to put the case for getting it right. When my son died of cancer in February @ThreeUK cancelled the contract with immediate effect. Ceased his number but allowed me keep his device (with content intact) and no risk of it being locked. Perfect service 🌟

@GeorgeMonbiot @VodafoneUK I had an absolute nightmare with @BritishGasHelp and their call centre staff giving zero shits. Only because I know the ceo personally and could text him did it get resolved. I pity those who haven’t got such solution because these big corps are designed to be utter shits

@VodafoneUK @GeorgeMonbiot Garbage. Dumped you years ago, when during a months long effort to cancel a contract your own staff were calling each other liars and hanging up while I stood being ignored. This is just Standard Operating Practice and has been for years.

@GeorgeMonbiot @VodafoneUK Every comment on this thread shows the contempt we are held in by these organisations. On the deaths of my parents I wrote a letter (remember them) as executor (with copy death cert.) to each one & stopped payments. I found I had few problems. Any that were I simply ignored.

@VodafoneUK @GeorgeMonbiot Despicable behaviour. Far too little and far too late for this poor family. Non-existent customer service

@GeorgeMonbiot @VodafoneUK When my uncle died the only company that I had trouble me with was @AOL they actually made me cry. Said I had to have all the account holders security details . Didn’t seem to understand he was dead.

@GeorgeMonbiot @VodafoneUK Well done for raising this issue George. I did all this for my 90yr old Mum but had put the account in my name so it was slightly easier (not much though) and I said to the adviser from the Directors office that it would be terrible for an elderly person to cope with on their own
