@VodafoneUK @GeorgeMonbiot Oh god not "The Bot", utterly useless pretence at customer service.

@VodafoneUK @GeorgeMonbiot surely you should have an ' account holder deceased' button on every account /record that your admin Staffa access and action quickly and easily without insensitive questions to bereaved relatives ? YOU NEED TO FIX THIS QUICKLY !

So I'm thinking of all the people who don't have my platform, and attempt to cancel contracts with @VodafoneUK. Are their elderly relatives also being harassed and abused like this? Are they too being hounded by debt collectors for money they don't owe?

@VodafoneUK @GeorgeMonbiot You are appalling at customer service. You agreed a refund for a bill for my husband after many many months of him trying - and then guess what? The next month you helped yourselves to the exact amount you had agreed to refund. #notovodafoneuk #crapservice

@GeorgeMonbiot @VodafoneUK Appalling! Vodafone customer services should beashamed of themselves. The elderly and those struggling with new technology are being discriminated against. If you can use twitter then it miraculously gets sorted! Shame on you from someone supporting a loved one with dementia.

@GeorgeMonbiot @VodafoneUK I've experienced very similar attitude when I had a problem with cancelling an account!! I'll never use them again...I presume they must be making so much money they can't be bothered!!

@GeorgeMonbiot @VodafoneUK I had same experience after my husband died. Wasn’t Vodaphine, it was TalkTalkmor whatever it was called at the time. Eventually passed to my lawyer who got it sorted out. She advised this is common issue with mobile companies.

@GeorgeMonbiot @VodafoneUK My husband tried to cancel the phone account for his deceased father. The telephone company kept insisting that they had to speak to the account holder and that no one else could close the account. Such unnecessary distress for a grieving family.
