@GeorgeMonbiot @VodafoneUK Had this sort of run-in with Vodaphone 20 years ago. Would never use them, nor have I had a mobile phone account since. #payasyougo

@GeorgeMonbiot @VodafoneUK Same frustration with #VodafonItaly @VodafoneIT Took me 3 months of letters, e-mails and phone calls to finally have the contract cancelled after I left Italy. Employees on the phone were very nice. Letters and mails were never answered.

@GeorgeMonbiot @VodafoneUK George, had exactly the same issue after our mum passed away. Vodafone forgot to disconnect her Apple Watch sim despite my voice recordings of me closing the account over the phone. To this very day a debt agency is hounding me for the £45 or so they falsely claim I owe.

@GeorgeMonbiot @VodafoneUK Not the same situation but I have too been met with this type of response. Hard to get through to, arrogant and aggressive responses. Sent round and round in circles with no one able to help.

@GeorgeMonbiot @VodafoneUK Though the outside threat (the phone company) had ceased to exist, it still lived on in her mind. To this day I do not know the name of said phone company. I only know they pushed an already fragile woman over the edge, at the worst possible time in her life. /4

@GeorgeMonbiot @VodafoneUK Here's another problem I've had to deal with on behalf of elderly father recently. DMs, bots, WhatsApp us.. My dad can't be the only one who has no idea what these mean.
