@VodafoneUK @GeorgeMonbiot 11 years go when my dad died it took my mum months to cancel his contract and only for Vodafone to turn round to say how can we stop him leave Vodafone even though we told them he had died guess nothing had changed then

@VodafoneUK @GeorgeMonbiot Their customer service is awful. I’ve had to make a complaint before&had a bloke flirting with me for 45 mins who then asked if I was happy now?! I’ve had more contracts opened in my name than needed&lengthy waits for a new phone…can’t believe a company like this exists in 2022!

@GeorgeMonbiot @VodafoneUK ..willing to help me. Vodafone took my money but as soon as I experienced difficulty they fobbed me off. It turns out Vodafone did have warning my line was due to be taken over and failed to warn me. Best bit? After hours on the phone, arguing, they offered me £50 compensation...

@VodafoneUK @GeorgeMonbiot Isn’t it amazing how companies suddenly apologise when tragic experiences like this go public? It’s good that social media has this effect, but sad they only seem to do it to prevent bad PR. I bet if this only involved letters and phone calls there would be no apology.

@GeorgeMonbiot @VodafoneUK This is standard fare for corporations with a twitter presence- send a tweet sounding contrite and to progress through another support call— we’re not fooled by any of it Vodafone

@CraftyOldGit @GeorgeMonbiot @VodafoneUK Same with my dad. But level of service differed massively between organisations. Barclays, kind but very bureaucratic & inflexible. Civil service pensions 🤯 HMRC surprisingly wonderful.

@VodafoneUK @GeorgeMonbiot that he had to very publicly share his personal grief to drag this response from you is just awful. How many without his standing or social media following have you treated the same or worse?
