    @VodafoneUK Still no sense of urgency on the part of Vodafone, seriously rubbish customer service, private message sent this morning as directed and still nothing - you should be ashamed you know a child with a specific need is involved here - you could care less !!!!

    @GeorgeMonbiot @VodafoneUK Why would anyone use @VodafoneUK ? They consistently finish bottom of Which? customer satisfaction surveys. It must be a deliberate policy decision.

    @GeorgeMonbiot @the_mcquade @VodafoneUK Sorry to hear it George. I’ve had similar problems, though handled with greater sensitivity, because the fact of my partner’s death did not fit the algorithm which issued bills and protected revenue. Some companies have dedicated bereavement services, but the algorithms rule.

    @GeorgeMonbiot @VodafoneUK Also had a terrible experience with Vodafone, didn’t put a cap on my dongle & charged me hundreds for going over my data limit by a tiny amount. No text or warning whatsoever & their app showing my data usage was broken. Felt like a deliberate strategy to trip people up

    @GeorgeMonbiot @VodafoneUK So sorry to hear this, but not surprised. When I cancelled my contract a very aggressive guy refused to do it unless I told him which company I was moving to as they needed to information. I refused, none of their business, and had to hang up on him as he was becoming abusive.

    @VodafoneUK @speckyninja What a scummy f*cking company. I have never used you and never will and hope others turn their backs on you. Aol did the same years ago. Still took money from our account every month when we left, then chased us for debt, there wasn't any and they owed us, never got a penny back.

    @GeorgeMonbiot @VodafoneUK This is very similar situation we found ourselves in last year with @VodafoneUK despite having a POA for my father in law. Unhelpful, rude, debt collection agency, bills which we paid as they were threatening, and no understanding or empathy of the situation.

    @GeorgeMonbiot Sorry you had to go through this, just awful. I had to cancel my DD to leave my contract too and they refused to help even though they owed me money. They put a black mark on my credit file. Would never use again @VodafoneUK

    @GeorgeMonbiot @VodafoneUK Standard - recently cancelled a direct debit for infirm mother in law’s account, as we were unable to find out how to cancel. Letter from debt collection agency within two weeks. Never previously missed a payment since taking out the contract in 1999!
