Sextant (@simcity31) reported@jukan05 I read the beginning of this and knew itβs garbage, written with a conclusion in mind and fillers to get there. Comparing token value to internet subscription is ludicrous. The value of the internet obv is beyond the freaking $50 you paid AOL or whatever ISP. The same for mobile

Jack_of_Trades (@diamond_r_cap) reported@nmlinguaphile mapquest! The Hammacher Schlemmer of online maps and connectivity! Are they still accepting 1,000 hours free dial up cdrom from AOL? If I were in corporate meeting: Should we do this? Me: Nobody gives a ****. Do what you want. Let's ignore them so they can die in peace.

Peetie Peete (@Peetie_Peete) reported@BrianRoemmele I was working for NyNex in NYC and installed some of the first residential ISDN data lines. Years later, folks started using dial-up internet service after getting AOL cd's in the mail. Then we graduated to DSL and thought the future is here! It's funny looking back at it all.
