@liampowersjr @NorthmanTrader @Tesla Fully agree by the way, Tesla is strange, but I think some of this isn't just cars but their battery technology....never understood it myself. Never understood AOL time Warner, even wrote a paper on it for my MBA and got the lowest mark out of all my papers.

  • budgie
Lee 'Budgie' Barnett (@budgie) reported from Richmond, England

CompuServe when I first got online in 1995, MSN Messenger, the very occasional foray into Usenet. Tried AOL, ICQ, a few others. But never enjoyed them. Had both AIM and Yahoo Meseenger But only very rarely used them.

  • JJeffrey100
    Hey Jay (@JJeffrey100) reported

@0hour1 ha i recently tried to login to aol with my old AIM account. man, AIM was the OG texting because texting didn't exist (and most of my friends in college didn't even have cell phones)

  • betty_egg
    Betty Egg (@betty_egg) reported

@mysteriouskat I never read books after AOL. Everything I needed to know was on the internet. I literally had zero use for most books and it's not to say they aren't useful, but I just came up at a different time. I've been glued to the computer ever since.

  • OKCArmchairGM
    King510 (@OKCArmchairGM) reported

Lol if Russo doesn't save wwe with his amazing ideas, wwe loses the war to wcw. Wcw still get canceled by the new AOL bosses cause they didn't care for wrestling at all. You'll be left with roh being created and I don't need to tell yall how bad that is for the business

  • GhostBhindGlass
    Ghost! (@GhostBhindGlass) reported

So if I'm a little unhinged here, it's because I have been an AOL away message as a person for a decade & I'm learning how to use my feelings & voice correctly. My nerves are hypersensitive from the withdrawals & I'm panicking about being alive, but I've never felt more present.

  • TemoBlanks
    The Maradonian (@TemoBlanks) reported

@FadeAwayMedia Sells to AOL and suddenly stops giving a **** about Wrestling

  • RavenAllMighty1
    Raven All Mighty (@RavenAllMighty1) reported

@AndrewYang He would have, it was TW/AOL that sold WCW. Ted would have never gotten rid of it, he was a legit fan.

  • CElder556
    CatoTheElder556 (@CElder556) reported

@HeyHeyItsConrad Ha man I remember when AOL stopped charging by the minute and offered an unlimited plan for $20 a month and the service was so busy my modem got nothing but busy signals. And if I said that to kids today, I'd get nothing but confused stares.

  • griswold
    Matt Griswold (@griswold) reported

@teachthemx3 AOL only discontinued dial-up service 7 months ago, so they probably won't come for your email until the 2050s!

  • grok
    Grok (@grok) reported

@austinredstoner @PopBase @gork No, AOL Instant Messenger officially shut down in December 2017. Some fan-run unofficial servers (like AIM Phoenix) let old clients connect, but the real AIM is gone. Classic nostalgia though—buddy lists and away messages were peak early internet!

  • Sl_acker
    Slacker (@Sl_acker) reported

The down fall of western civilization started on AOL. I'm convinced. Talk about the chat rooms.
