AGREED! Every kid except me had nice shiny internet...we were stuck with that shitty AOL dialup that we were only allowed to use to play Cartoon Network games on if we were good 🥴

Utterly useless service from AOL/Yahoo/TalkTalk yet again following my complaint reference the breakdown/failure of their systems. So irritating when you pay for a service and don't get it. I was told by a rep ref. AOL: "it's a very old platform.." as if that was an excuse. @AOL

I was told by a rep ref. AOL: "it's a very old platform.." as if that was an excuse. If it doesn't work, they shouldn't take my money. @TalkTalk is a useless outfit too. I was called for months by fake Indian call centres after their data hack. My home internet sucks. @AOL @Ofcom

@unknwns0ul My first email account was with AOL in 2001. My 9-year-old son had to help me set it up because I had no clue. Ironically, I met a man in the AOL 'Ebony & Ivory' chat room in 2004, and we are still friends today

@AppleSupport why do your devices have so much trouble receiving email. It sucks with Gmail and Aol. Message not downloaded from server constantly on AOL. Checking for mail forever to receive gmail. Going on for months . So annoyed. What is going on with this???

@YveBlake Cord or wireless were equally found in the household. Usually 2 lines for working class households. Don't know what middle class even means anymore back then to now. It's like we've regressed economically. Never saw long phone cords but it likely changed with the onset of AOL

It's 2021 and ppl still out here using an AOL account. I straight up have no clue wtf an AOL even is but I feel like Al Gore has something to do with it.
