  @benjedwards school library had a dial-up modem (probably 9600 baud) to ISP through school district. At home was local ISP as AOL/Compuserve/etc. never had local numbers for me.

  AGREED! Every kid except me had nice shiny internet...we were stuck with that shitty AOL dialup that we were only allowed to use to play Cartoon Network games on if we were good 🥴

  Wow $ETH looks like ****. Morally speaking it does deserve to go much lower. I think $BTC and Ethereum get replaced and at this point they are AOL.

  @mjmarquardt @Lauderdale11 Could’ve swore in the documentary of WCW’s death they said one of reasons was when they made money, AOL spent it on other areas. Bad decisions was the other reason.

  Kids today will never know the high-stakes gamble of using an AOL disc to install the internet, only to have a 2-hour download ruined because someone in the house picked up the landline phone

  @lady_valor_07 It should be 19, but I’ve never used a Check Book, I’ve used a Cheque Book though!!! I never had an AOL address! I used to use Freenets!!!!
