@Bot2390 @IcyVert This is pg-13 compared to the wild west days of the internet. I remember logging into AOL to snicker over pictures of ****** then years down the road.

  • USA_Realist Jay Laurence (@USA_Realist) reported

@KennedyNation @TheMikeChase @FoxBusiness The Government surveillance forces have had multiple direct connections to all email providers since the early days of AOL, Mailcom & Yahoo mail. Why would you think it any different Amzn, goog, Faceb, twittre or any other online system? U have no privacy, U never did

  • UserNemesis C R (@UserNemesis) reported

@BigJohn2310 @elevatelabs @PJKosar The result was anyone with the CD only needed to Uninstall and reinstall the CD to get free dialup for life. You can imagine how a rather large group found out and nearly ruined AOL until they switched to high-speed service 2/2

  • RefugeeInternet Immunonatrale' hide&seek (@RefugeeInternet) reported

Town - "Boil advisory lifted" Everybody - "What boil advisory?" Town - "We sent an email." Bro, I've got an AOL account with 70k unread emails. I didn't see that ****.

  • plumaria1 Kathy 🇺🇦#IStandWithUkraine🇺🇦 #BlueSenate (@plumaria1) reported

@charles_gaba I still have my original AOL account, never saw any reason to change. I had a boatload of CD’s I got rid of when I moved a few years ago. Sadly I did not know they had become collectibles until after I threw them away.

  • cgate61 Chris Gate (@cgate61) reported

@facebook and @instagram don’t care if your accounts get hacked. Once the hacker changes the email & Ph# to acct, they tell you tough luck. No phone support! Even @AOL will help you!

  • honestpenguin42 the.honest.penguin (@honestpenguin42) reported

@goddesszer0 Same. I lived on tips from 2002-08... but it never made the mid-2000s version of Google newsfeed (namely good 'ol #AOL). Ps, no hate to the first or second oldest professions... or any other for that matter, besides "rando billionaire mogul that buys social media for funsies" lol

  • A_Hammer_Boy Cube Head ✈️🚀🏛️ (@A_Hammer_Boy) reported

in retrospect it's weird that I knew what software piracy was when I was in kindergarten. I figured out how to get free **** via AOL email attachments from what I later learned was the warez scene when I was in 4th grade. no idea how I did that
