  • chriskieck Chris Kieck ◎ (@chriskieck) reported

@ShardiB2 oh ****, are you bringing back AOL?

  • alphaK3Y alphakΞY wΞn Lisbon agΞn (@alphaK3Y) reported

@iamDCinvestor @antiprosynth @beaniemaxi this is not really a great comparison because you had to choose between AOL and another service in web3 you can bridge from service to service i think i agree with you though not everyone will win

  • DefiLesser lesser.defi.demon (@DefiLesser) reported

@iamDCinvestor @beaniemaxi I think a walled garden environment for web3(similar to argent) would spur further adoption just like AOL did. Make it idiot proof so Uncle Bob can’t ape into scams, make transactions on a L2 or roll up for cheap fees, connect to proven dapps that connect to outside the ecosystem

  • Cerebrix_LFG Brix (@Cerebrix_LFG) reported

@dglucer @GovMLG @NMDOH At companies like AOL, Gateway, UNM, Roadrunner, infosec companies. Working hard to contribute my part to helping make sure this whole internet thing gets put together. I have to sit here after all that, and watch your stupid *** **** it up.

  • audiolondonsf Audio London (@audiolondonsf) reported

@TheCryptoLark Dial up internet with an AOL CD for 40 hours can overtake #Ethereum ‘s crappy network

  • yahkshah YahkshahPulveriser (@yahkshah) reported

@kim__etc Well to say by my experience over the internet since it ever began in 2000. Dial up was very quiet but noisy for modems. And computers were slow back then. My way to the first online connect was AOL and it was nice to chat with real people who worked for AOL and gave great advice

  • iamDCinvestor DCinvΞstor (@iamDCinvestor) reported

@beaniemaxi a lot of L1s feel more like AOL than the free & open internet to me that's not necessarily bad as they boosted a lot of awareness and adoption, but there is a cautionary tale there if one views all of these as viable over the long-term with unique value propositions

  • jukeboxplayz jukeboxplayz ⚡ (@jukeboxplayz) reported

Cleave is made up of anticleave. **** Politis/Arby/Cerise/AoL/BBK is pure anticleave and cleave st the same time

  • akornblatt Andrew the spooky IPCC 6th assessment Kornblatt (@akornblatt) reported

In high school, I had an AOL account, used it a LOT. When I got Gmail, I stopped using my AOL account. Apparently, AOL deactivated the account, and ALL the stupid stuff I wrote, all the emails with friends, all the AIM chats are now evaporated into the ether.
