Anyone else remember restarting solitaire or free cell on windows 97 until you had a “good hand”? Someone was on the phone so you couldn’t use AOL on dial-up and your only other options were minesweeper or hearts. Hearts wasn’t too bad though. Technology was better back then.

@DoyerGil @Jdub_Dodgers I worked at a local sub sandwich shop, I was a cashier at a truck stop, I worked in AOL tech support for 3 days (I hated that job), and in the summers I worked for the county parks and rec back home during the day and washed dishes at a restaurant I worked at in HS at night.

Assuming they ever get where they claim to be going; in terms of the technology; right now this **** all has a strong "AOL '94, free disk inside" feel to it. But if you listen to what they're trying to create, there's no evidence whatsoever that would be good for normal ppl.

@Majestic_Declas 4. The visit affected me in such a way that my life has been going down a metaphysical path since. I believe that there are no errors in the divine. We are teachers one minute...and students the next. I know there were only 12 originals. His AOL was MJRU12.

@Spacewalker33 @EthanVanSciver That's normal when you have to cut the fat out. You just write things off and move on to what is profitable. That's freshman Management 101/Finance 101 knowledge. And $10 billion today is nothing like Time-Warner's write down of the AoL merger ($99 billion).

I never took a typing course or had any formal training. Actually learned how to type without looking at the keys, while using AOL chat back in the late 90s. Just learned that you're supposed to use your thumb for the space bar. I had never noticed but I use my right index fngr

@Stonekettle The worst trolling I ever experienced was 28 years ago in an AOL parenting chatroom where I expressed the idea that beating an infant to get them to toilet train in record time wasn’t cool.
