@Matt_Pinner I'm at my mom just turned 80 yesterday and she still rocking her AOL address I **** you not. But she's also a Vietnam vet that was just shooting off of AR for shits and giggles too so there's that. Everybody makes fun of these Boomers and forgets that a lot of them were Vietnam vets and didn't have to be some special forces people to see and do and learn a bunch of ****** up ****. So just remember whenever you're making fun of Boomers a lot of those folks retained that skill set while also stocking up on weapons for a couple Generations. So they might have problems with a smartphone and social media, but they remember how to use a rifle.

@Bharata_India @MrSelfEmployed @BigBrainBizness After Netscape's 1998 AOL buyout ($4.2B), Marc & Ben founded Loudcloud (1999, cloud computing). Pivoted to Opsware (server automation) amid dot-com crash; Ben as CEO, sold to HP for $1.6B in 2007. They angel-invested $80M+ in 45 startups (e.g., Twitter) 2005-2009. Netscape: AOL killed browser dev by 2003, open-sourced code → Mozilla/Firefox; full support ended 2008. Then founded a16z in 2009. Huge pivot wins.

@vivekshukla 🤪BTW: did you ever use the AmEx free dial up service? Anyway a funny story: During those days, I lived within half a mile of AOL HQ. Ferrari had to open a dealership in our area because they had to service 176 Ferraris of AOL, including the one of the Secy of the CEO.

@crvogler @Matt_Pinner @AOL I hated that email account. Then again I hated AOL in general. Customer service sucked so bad and I wouldn't close that email account no matter how I tried.

@instantlyrich @Donkey96802737 @Breaking911 From the video and multiple reports (NY Post, AOL, eyewitness accounts), the Kuwaitis are mostly speaking English mixed with Arabic, saying things like: "Are you okay? You're fine? Really? You need something to help you?" and "No problem, you're safe... Thank you for helping us!" They back off and assist once the crew member confirms they're American. Not hostile threats.

@Tesla your ordering system is trash. How are you guys still charging us $250 for orders? You put the order on the wrong account and your support is trash. I’m shocked at how bad your customer service is. #tesla Is your ordering system built on Windows 95? Is there an AOL popup?
