@ForIForSForever @kenbone18 @justinamash Got any examples of that actually happening before there was antitrust laws? Time Warner/AOL was never going to lord over the world. Of course you don’t. When businesses have a “monopoly” under free market capitalism, they offer quality at a low price. Consumers win.

@FwooshVeeBee Aw, thanks! I hope you have fun with AoL too. Yeah, knowing all about points & exp was, uh, not ingrained in me back then at all. It was still difficult but I found it fun-difficult. Used some rewind & save states at the very end though: maybe just to help with my nerves XD

@redphase @Techmeme AOL did this back then, and I believe got in trouble with the SEC after the fact. (Hazy on that) But now it’s ok bc the SEC is feckless
