  @MVdlJCardinal I had work email/Internet in 1986 (admittedly at IBM, a tech company) and personal email the same year. TVO provided a free email service long before AOL, Hotmail, Bell, etc.

  Had Ted Turner maintained executive control in the merger with Time Warner, or if the merger never happened, WCW would have still existed past 2001. It was on a countdown once it happened. Subsequent merger with AOL only quickened its demise (+ bad contracts & poor booking).

  @GrantLavac @JonStewartIL your aol address is gone. Get a new one, then never ever use it - use email aliases instead. Proton, Norton & others provide them aplenty.

  Journalists are warning us that we're in a tech bubble - as they share their message across multiple tech platforms - saying right now is akin to the 2001 tech crash in which the biggest tech company was AOL, who needed you to install a physical CD before using their AIM service.
