@anildash I can remember Microsoft trying to launch their own network to compete with the internet or so it seemed, I joined got an account then had to wait about an hour, via dialup, to cancel it, back to AOL it was for me.

@Bello7atwinkie I met a guy in an aol chat room when I was 16 and we became friends on MySpace. We talked for years about meeting up but never did since he was in OH and I was in PA. Then one year I drove to Ohio for my best friends wedding and we ended up meeting up. It wasn’t life changing

@GovRonDeSantis Do something that truly matters to us. Our state service websites are from the AOL days. The schools without air conditioning? Stop strutting and posturing, and eating your way through FL, and actually do something.

@pacoromane Waiting 45 minutes to load AOL's "Nickelodeon" page on a 2400-baud modem. My little cousin counted down every minute. You'd think we would have lost interest by the time it loaded, but no...it was mind-blowing.

@jendziura I wished. Every year I almost die of it even though I get my shot. People just act like it's not a thing and come around and breathe on me even though they know I got my immune system free with an aol install disk. "Oh it's not a bad flu..." TO YOU.

@Surebrik_ @GothKaede It wasn't that bad especially with my mental state when i was 13 it was literally the lowest point in my life it didn't really faze me but if it happened now i would report it the police amadiatly and it was the first time that happened either the aol days woo boy even worse
