    @theretrobyte I think I would still have been with Dungeon/FlexNet back then. Never used any of the likes of AOL, Freeserve, etc.

    @anildash I can remember Microsoft trying to launch their own network to compete with the internet or so it seemed, I joined got an account then had to wait about an hour, via dialup, to cancel it, back to AOL it was for me.

    One time i whipped a knife out on my brother because he kicked me off AOL Dial Up so he could talk to his lil girlfriend. I was at my breaking point. i just wanted to print off some cool batman pictures to show my friends down the street. circa 2003.

I remember sitting at the family computer (on dial-up AOL) crying while looking at a site to memorialize the victims while an awful midi version of β€œEvery Breath You Take” by The Police played on repeat. πŸ’”
