@anildash I can remember Microsoft trying to launch their own network to compete with the internet or so it seemed, I joined got an account then had to wait about an hour, via dialup, to cancel it, back to AOL it was for me.

It complete disrespect- why am I turning off my Verizon Fios wiFi, to use my #Verizon data, but I still can’t scroll without having issues? AOL was more reliable than this and it was a free CD.

@MarkMaddenX I was online in the 90s. No one ever discussed Disco. No one had an AOL screenname based on him. His name was never mentioned at school. Yes, he performed at a time when wrestling had higher live viewership numbers, but that actually speaks negatively to his personal impact.
