@theretrobyte I think I would still have been with Dungeon/FlexNet back then. Never used any of the likes of AOL, Freeserve, etc.

@anildash I can remember Microsoft trying to launch their own network to compete with the internet or so it seemed, I joined got an account then had to wait about an hour, via dialup, to cancel it, back to AOL it was for me.

@BekoUK I bought a Beko VCS5125AR Upright Vacuum Cleaner in Red from AOL 27/2/21 and in the past week it has cut out after using it for 10mins and did not restart for 20mins. Not happy. I would like it swapped for a hoover that works competently for the use it was bought for!

@AmazonHelp Not helpful at all. FAQs doing fix the feed. Every other streaming service works fine. I have a ton of @Browns with the same problems. Is the @NFL trying to loose fans? This is like connecting through AOL

@redstarinfinite When we moved, I had trouble with AOL at our new place. Exactly like you talked about, having to try over and over until a connection happened. When DSL became affordable, we upgraded ASAP.

I knew there was (at least) 1 reason I never upgraded MacOS on my old 2014 vintage MacBook: I upgraded to Big Sur today, and now I have no way to read 100's of old AOL chat transcripts. Anybody got a lead to a file (Mac, Linux, Windows) that can read AIM transcripts?

If anybody is wondering how @AOL is doing as a company, I tried to login to my email from my screen name I used in 5th grade to grab a verification code and they said they couldn’t reactivate my email account unless I signed up for a $30/Mo subscription

@Google alot of time, phishing emails are sent through gmail, hackers use gmail, aol, outlook, yahoo mails to forward phishing emails. Time to fix your forwarding functions.
