@aolmail assume the email telling me my request to terminate my AOL account; which of course I did not, will be carried out in 3 working days, is obviously a scam email? Many thanks in advance xx

🌸TILLI🌸 @ FFXIV (ARR) (@kthxsayonara) reported from Saint Mary Hoo, England

AOL have deleted more than half of the saved emails in my inbox and now I’ve lost the email containing the serial codes for Eleanor Forte AI, Synth V Studio Pro and Natsuki Karin AI. I’ve managed to send an email to Anicute but AHS want a support number (was in a deleted email…)

  • sweetmax22
    Maxine Sweetman-Ive (@sweetmax22) reported from Southend-on-Sea, England

@BekoUK I bought a Beko VCS5125AR Upright Vacuum Cleaner in Red from AOL 27/2/21 and in the past week it has cut out after using it for 10mins and did not restart for 20mins. Not happy. I would like it swapped for a hoover that works competently for the use it was bought for!

@anildash I can remember Microsoft trying to launch their own network to compete with the internet or so it seemed, I joined got an account then had to wait about an hour, via dialup, to cancel it, back to AOL it was for me.

I worked from home no doubt. Started with fax machines. We actually use high resolution fac machines to transfer camera ready artwork. Long before AOL dial up. F.I.N.S. works with all software or no computers at all like morse code after a first strike during the Cold War my SOS.

I kinda wish I new what my AOL password was because I never use the website before and some reason my step dad use that app to create my Facebook

@claudeai Why not for us that don’t spend $1200 a year? Why put us thru a meter like AOL in the old days when parents opened their phone bills and went bananas. And all that for a mythos lite which is what fable is. You’re pushing people away. To quote your own Claude in an interaction w me: “Makes sense as a complaint — Fable being the restricted, safety-hardened variant of the same underlying model is exactly why “why not just give me the real thing” feels reasonable.”

@FOXLA All I can say is Paramount+ sucks. I tried it twice. It is a technical glitch disaster on my TV. It just loads like it was AOL dial-up! Give me a break!

  • xdamman

Wow surprisingly tone deaf post from an @openai top executive. Feels like AOL or Compuserve arguing about how dangerous and bad for innovation an open internet would be. Permissionless innovation. That’s what open weight models offer.
