@theretrobyte I think I would still have been with Dungeon/FlexNet back then. Never used any of the likes of AOL, Freeserve, etc.

  • frannyannew fran (@frannyannew) reported from Thundersley, England

@aolmail been three days since we have had access to our emails. Not getting much help from #Aol at the moment. Please help us get back on line. #badcustomerservice

  • rider45 Brian O'Keefe (@rider45) reported from Great Baddow, England

@anildash I can remember Microsoft trying to launch their own network to compete with the internet or so it seemed, I joined got an account then had to wait about an hour, via dialup, to cancel it, back to AOL it was for me.

  • EddieWinKicks Eddie win (@EddieWinKicks) reported

@nikestore Well it just seems to be broken, the app won’t load on my Sidekick and my AOL dial up says there’s an error for some reason… can you send a technician out?

  • philliesgirl105 ⚾ Sharyn K ⚾ (@philliesgirl105) reported

@AOLSupportHelp my email has been down since yesterday afternoon. I can’t access it in my iPhone. HELP!

  • legelid Andrew (@legelid) reported

@JoshPillault I never had one either. My family didn’t have internet until the Facebook era. At that time I was still sending emails on Yahoo and AOL.

  • DingusPingu Lord Beanbag (@DingusPingu) reported

@sIudgemetaI @alisson_lucs @berserksouls Yeah I beat Gascoigne on the second try this run (not NG+ cuz my last build was just bad) and it took like maybe a couple minutes. I was actually surprised how much easier the game was then I thought and I was quickly reminded when I got to hypogean aol with terrible gear.

  • timtfj Tim J (@timtfj) reported

@LaymansLinguist I never used AOL but an inescapable feature was the AOL installation CD which at one stage would be in any magazine you bought or junk mail that came through the door. People started competitions to invent uses for AOL discs.

  • LaymansLinguist The Layman's Linguist (@LaymansLinguist) reported

@timtfj We'd never had the internet before, we barely had a working computer before that. I was genuinely afraid of trying to figure out how people got on the internet without the frankly childish layout of AOL, just kind of spoonfeeding you how to get places.

  • lonelocust One Locust of a Swarm (@lonelocust) reported

@LaymansLinguist @Polit_eurOpines And when I saw AOL it had all kinds of news and search bars and email that people needed help with. 😭

  • thelarrynash Larry Nash (@thelarrynash) reported

@DLAlberts @BlockClubCHI Reminds me of when AOL first came out and you had a two hour wait for tech help, but they would pick up right away if you wanted to purchase!

  • kailybuemi Kaily ₿uemi 💎🙌🏼 (@kailybuemi) reported

@BitcoinTball Literally logged onto AOL in 1997 for the first time ever and I’ll never forget that moment lol

  • ADBYNOT ANTHONY (@ADBYNOT) reported

@OptionsLocator I'm there too but didn't have AOL, I also have never had Zuckbook because I'm an adult...lol
