  • MatthewBogart Matt Bogart - VOL. 2 Out Now (@MatthewBogart) reported

@79SemiFinalist Not to talk your ear off about it. I've become intrigued by all this over the last couple of days. And the social network with the built-in police scanner that's been banned by so many instances that it walled itself off like AOL is a fascinating discovery you've led me to! :)

  • commonvantage Think Bigger (@commonvantage) reported

@CanWeSchmooze @mcuban There's nothing left to take. The $44 Billion payment for a company worth less than a tenth of the price ha broken the model. This is AOL Time Warner all over again. It will be sold off, but remember their asset is your customer data.

  • Tinderhoof Tinderhoof (@Tinderhoof) reported

@Celestalon I went from managing BBS's right to it. Never had AOL so never even saw it's messenger.

  • ArtbookbalaJCKE JJART23 (@ArtbookbalaJCKE) reported

@alexhern @phrees feel like it just shoudn't be on there. aol ruined the internet. hope the internet doesn't break a tw*tter escape option. FB is dying imo. and lolMeta. I preferred mtafiltr in the day. But this, Twitter, it's too powerful. Algo is the debil and funny but sucks.

  • OhNoItsAlexx Alex is "straight" but obsessed with Bailey Jay (@OhNoItsAlexx) reported

People need to stop treating Twitter like it isn’t a ******* AOL chat room with a character limit Some of y’all take this **** way too seriously

  • subjacentish Subjacent Banana (@subjacentish) reported

@lithohedron It's part of the old Cult of Information ideology. Goes back a long way. Deep down, He's just a Boomer with an AOL connection.

  • nothingfromnada Tired (@nothingfromnada) reported

(Gather round, children, for you see Usenet was a network of forums that developed on the very early 1980s internet. It had a tight-knit culture of academics and enthusiasts. Then AOL added Usenet service in 1993 and a bunch of clueless yahoos wrecked the place /

  • PhryDeyy Phrydey (@PhryDeyy) reported

Question though, If your thinking about leaving twitter, where would you go? Facebook? Myspace? AOL Chatrooms? Blackplanet? . . I know damn well y'all not going nowhere.
