@AOLSupportHelp I have an AOL app on my iPad with a load of no longer valid contact addresses. When I delete them via the on line site they do not disappear from my iPad contacts. There is no tick box on the iPad contacts to facilitate deleting them direct! Help!!

  • rider45 Brian O'Keefe (@rider45) reported from Great Baddow, England

@anildash I can remember Microsoft trying to launch their own network to compete with the internet or so it seemed, I joined got an account then had to wait about an hour, via dialup, to cancel it, back to AOL it was for me.

  • hikariuk Chris Crowther (@hikariuk) reported from Maldon, England

@theretrobyte I think I would still have been with Dungeon/FlexNet back then. Never used any of the likes of AOL, Freeserve, etc.

Thinking about all these folks getting got and I think the only platform I've ever been banned from was AOL in the late 90s when you got 3 strikes and then poof. And anyone reporting you for saying ***** or **** was a strike. Good times.

  • TheGreyGatsbyy Edilo Joseph Gatsby "The Grey Gatsby" (@TheGreyGatsbyy) reported

@Muskelsmurf Nintendo in general has a very bad online presence. Their E Shop is slower than the AOL sign in dial up days

  • m0o0oeh Joe (@m0o0oeh) reported

@NZXT Slow, old AOL dialup. From memory, it was a 486, a gigabyte hdd and something like 16mb ram.

  • Jeffreedom2 Jeffreedom (@Jeffreedom2) reported

@GerberKawasaki @techAU I agree with you here Ross. It’s Musk only. The problem is, you can fix production problems, for example, but you can’t fix what Musk has. Which is why Tesla will become the next AOL.

  • psych0sky $KY (@psych0sky) reported

Im not about to leave an AOL away message on my IG. Might be too old this **** now

  • RodMasters8 Rod Masters (@RodMasters8) reported

@Calistadny "The crypto mining business is having difficulty" It's because crypto mining itself is unnecessary. Proof of stake is the second generation of crypto Blockchain. Faster & green no miners needed. Bitcoin will end up being the AOL of crypto. Will never see 20,000 again

  • Ben_M_Berry Ben from the Internet (@Ben_M_Berry) reported

@MerckxProject As for depending on the site to boost signal, of course they are. Twitter is the front page of the internet the way yahoo or google used to be and aol before it. As I said the Washington post subscription base is dwarfed by twitter and it’s user base

  • tweetercolorado KellyLovesColorado (@tweetercolorado) reported

@Fivemil @CryptoLawyerz @pmarca As I recall he was originally trying to pitch a video game to Nintendo but thankfully in the end AOL was in the market to piss away it’s shareholders money on bad acquisitions like Netscape and Time Warner.

  • BlackSheepMfer Blacksheep 🎟️ (@BlackSheepMfer) reported

Rug is a stupid word. AOL wasn’t a failure until Google turned up. You either carry on creating and innovating or someone else will. Sartoshi taught me that.

  • fQQch Fooch (@fQQch) reported

@lawrencekitema Advertising you have an iPhone is like advertising you're so stupid you have to use AOL. It's the AOL of 2022
