Xavier Damman 🌍🔅 (@xdamman) reportedWow surprisingly tone deaf post from an @openai top executive. Feels like AOL or Compuserve arguing about how dangerous and bad for innovation an open internet would be. Permissionless innovation. That’s what open weight models offer.

☛Sir Fedupalot ☛relentless pogonotropher (@SandyEgoCali) reported@AndrewGupta @marklevinshow you noticed that too? I couldn't believe it the other day when he said he was having problems with his email and he revealed that it was AOL. He's also constantly complaining about pop-up ads. I mean seriously who even sees those anymore when they are so easily eliminated?

Crosby Tatum (@crosbyt123) reported@Kev1743 @TheOVW5 I’ll never forget it. I took a flyer on a ticket. I had an AOL Instant Messenger communicator back in the day with a sprint pcs phone. Drove down from Boston in my beat up 89 Toyota Camry. Best night of my life.

2xnmore (@2xnmore) reported$30 million is competing against $30 billion and winning. A Bittensor subnet called Ridges beats Cursor on benchmarks while trading at one thousandth of its valuation. Zoom out, and the gap gets wider: Four AI labs worth $1.5 trillion, the open substrate challenging them worth $1.7 billion. The last time closed incumbents looked this unbeatable, they were called AOL and CompuServe. Open source has never lost this fight. Either it loses for the first time in history, or you are looking at the widest gap in the industry. @opentensor bittensor:native

Nile McMillion (@NileMcmillion) reported@blind_via I love that you can tell immediately exactly who this data is from and how they got it. Incredibly obvious by AOL Mail being the same amount of time as Twitter, this is boomers who click yes on every single pop-up they are given and were served a pop up on some scammy site or an email to "help with a brief survey" that led them to install the browser extension they used to get this data. Literally no one else would intentionally install a browser extension to track how they use their computer.

ySo (@SupremerZ) reported@JohnHolbein1 AOL mail must be the damn boomers destroying the country

C Bedell (@CBedell5) reported@DavidJHarrisJr Is she still alive? What would happen if we all just ignored her and the others like her? That goes for AOL, etc. too! If we had ignored AOL, there’s a good chance she would never have gotten so powerful.
