@TalkTalk , @Yahoo and @AOL seem to have the greatest difficulty maintaining a normal service. I pay for a service which I am not getting. I am cut off from my email at the moment. Previously, I have been plagued by Indian sub continent scammers because of a data breach. #NotGood

  • NukSoCow Nuk So Cow 🐄 (@NukSoCow) reported

TikTok wiping Andrew Tate's name, which is like something out of V For Vendetta. Cancel Culture at its worst. This is only going to increase Twitter, Rumble & potentially a Vine comeback. Big Corp arrogance needs to look at MSN, MySpace, AOL, Yahoo, Bebo. You can fall too

  • quartzdonkey quartzdonkey (@quartzdonkey) reported

@jengrunwald I am 38 and have never used a check(I did work in a university bookshop briefly and that was the only time I saw people pay with them[parents checks]). AOL tried here but never took off.

  • kencrompton Ken Crompton (@kencrompton) reported

@NC1211X Nice. I never used AOL chat. Not that I recall anyway.

  • fang_cz Fangee ⚙️ (@fang_cz) reported

@Thomas_Horak I do remember that my sister had an Myspace account back in the day. I never had need to use that platform. Then Facebook happened and rest is history. For AOL I have very distant memory of being one of dial up ISP? Maybe something like what Tiscali was in CZ around 2001.

  • aladue76 A LaDue Better🐘 (@aladue76) reported

@crhode1 1 for me. Never had an AOL email address. Went the hotmail route and I still have it!

@Jurchak1 @natashakorecki Lol. The middle school 90s aol chat room is down the hall.

  • slpnumber1 That's interesting (@slpnumber1) reported

  • BernieLomaxCEO Bernard Lomax (@BernieLomaxCEO) reported

You know what's kinda crazy? How email has never been replaced by another system despite dating back to the early internet. Like, I know the backend has changed but for the end user, pretty much the same thing it was when you dialed in to AOL.

  • TerribleLotus1 TerribleLotus 🪷 (@TerribleLotus1) reported

@machtaholic Wait, how have you never used a paper map? Like never ever? Same with AOL & I never had MySpace.

  • NJDReeves Nicole J.D. Reeves 💮 (@NJDReeves) reported

Random: I’ll never forget my grandmother’s words when I explained the concept of the internet to her. (This was when we had those AOL 💿 and used the landline) HER: “Be careful baby…this is the beginning of the end.” 🌬
