@barcus_chris @JovanHPulitzer Altering drivers for a simple device to make or operate outside of its original intent is fairly trivial. If the company was unsuccessful and it was, people reusing scanners for other purposes is not even a bad thing. Like aol discs for hobby stock, better than the landfill.

I meant 2019 sorry. 1999 we had America Online "AOL" God awful dail up internet no WiFi DVD were replacing VHS video taped Video game consoles PS1 Nintendo 64 and Sega Dreamcast was released. PS1 was my 1st 3D game console. My 1st game console Sega Genesis model 2.😬

@DernKat @GailSimone Oh, yes. AOL once had a "radio station" featuring the world's worst songs. While "We Built This City" was on the playlist, there were many which were far, far worse. "A Pizza Hut, A Pizza Hut, Kentucky-Fried Chicken and a Pizza Hut!" Shudder.

@NBCNewsTHINK @NBCNews @alightman The problem is, the internet is still young, think about it, 40years the internet has been around, and maybe 25 years of main stream internet, when this generation looks at AoL, ask them what they think, we are still in the crawling stage of life, when it comes to the internet
