Yes WCW was badly run but only when the AOL merger & Thunder were brought in on hisxwatch. he couldn't have been doing a bad job if they were winning 83 weeks in a row.

Implying that Turner somehow made bad decisions that led to their downfall is insane-Ted personally kept the company on the air during its down years.

The whole sequence becomes a meme, an icon of finance TV right away. 1999: AOL buys Time Warner for $164 billion. Steve Case calls it "the most important deal in history." It destroys both companies within two years. The man who got lucky once always starts believing luck is a business model.
