Some of new apps sound good on paper but deleted right away. Clubhouse is like random AOL chat room meets bad Ted Talk - immediately turned off. Public is like the Robinhood meets Spotify for teen investors, felt really fluffy and predatory. Both are filled w/ 🔥 emojis + hustle

Okay I just realized I am posting the memes WAY TOO BIG a file and so I will fix that tomorrow and starting posting the half size which don't load like 1998 speed AOL dial up. I am impressed in 2021 I can get an image to load line by line as if by phone line modem.

@barton3432 Isn't that stupid? I've tried yahoo, aol, gmail and signed up with Proton and tried that. Nope. I get the message "if your email is in our database, we'll send you an email...." blah **** blah **** blah ****. Yahoo email I've probably had for 20 years. AOL for 19 for sure.

@JC1053 It's funny seeing history repeat itself.... We were doing this same crap from our dorm rooms in 2000 on Yahoo and AOL chat rooms. It was fun until I lost it all a year later and had to take a semester off to pay for rent... And for the few unlucky bastards that went to jail.

  • TychoTithonus Royce Williams (@TychoTithonus) reported

@bradfitz Given how many older users literally do not know the difference between SMS, iMessage, Facebook Messenger, and AOL email on their phones ... It's not surprising that Fidelity feels compelled to loudly announce a potential signal of account hijacking, just to cut through the noise

@questlove I am old, yes, but born in 1976. I keep the AOL address because it's now my 'spam' account. I only use it for buying things and so it's full of garbage. I don't ever give it out to people though, so the point is moot.

@lorakolodny Reminds me of qualcom, rambus, aol trading up and down $75 a day on rumours

  • griff9020 TG (@griff9020) reported

so much for the better video. 3rd period and OT back to the same old crap. Get your act together and get off AOL dial up for your internet POS app

  • StevenM_W Steven M. W. (@StevenM_W) reported

Money Never Sleeps isn’t a great movie but for some reason @Scaramucci had a cameo in it? Also were we really using AOL in 2008? I can’t remember I was too busy working at my friends gym so they wouldn’t get shut down in the recession

Don’t miss aol and seeing 8 “what’s up f-word” smashers smh. Everyone hated that word, if you’re down to call a straight guy that better run before the punches come lol. Stay dead aol
